A massive set of throwers for when you feel the need to send a lot of cold, hard steel down range! This set is made up of one our of most popular kunai throwing knives -- 24 of them in total!

Each knife is double edged with a piecing point, finished in black, and comes with red cord wrapped handles. An optional stabilization tail is attached to the kunai ring of each knife.

Forged from 440 stainless steel, each knife has a weld-free full tang construction. Includes nylon case with zipper closure.

    History of the Kunai knife:

A kunai is an ancient kind of trowel, originated during the Tensho Era in Japan. The kunai was normally wrought of iron, not steel, cheaply forged and unpolished. The size of most kunai ranged from 20 cm to 60 cm, with the average at 40 cm. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a wrecking bar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife.

Kunai normally had a leaf-shaped blade and a handle with a ring on the pommel for attaching a rope. This would allow the kunai's handle to be wrapped to act as a grip, or when used as a weapon; to be strapped to a stick as an expedient spear, to be tied to the body for concealment, or to use as an anchor or piton.

Very good knives. Very durable. My only problem was the fact that mine didn't come with a red nylon rap like the description says mine were black.

Ribbons are loose and will fall off easily if not paying attention, all some ribbons are not clean cut at their ends. However both are an easy fix. The knife itself is sharp at the point, dull at the edges; though they are cut down so sharpening wouldn't be an issue if you wanted the edges sharp. Pretty happy with these, would make a great starter set or to just have a practice set. Knives are small kunai's being 6.25 inches long and 0.75 inches wide (without ribbon). Compared to my other Kunai which are 8.5 inches long and 1 inch wide (no ribbon). I have not tried this set out yet but they seem durable as the bigger ones.
