First-of-its-kind spring assist knife with finger loop ring guard! The finger ring is part of the blade itself - the same solid piece of metal - resulting in an extra secure grip.

The knife design is also unique and overloaded with Gothic elements. The entire knife body is shaped like a coffin and built just as solid, with steel bolsters on both ends. A stainless steel cross with points is inlaid into the hardwood side panel.

Perhaps the most interesting design element is the stainless steel coffin set into the side of the handle, which is actually the safety lock release for the blade!

The blade swings open in the typical spring assist way when you apply pressure to the bottom of the blade, which in this case is the finger ring. Once opened the blade locks into place using a modified liner lock inside the handle.

When you want to close the knife, simply push in the coffin button while you begin to close the blade, then release the button and continue to swing the blade closed until it is re-seated within the handle.

    Product Specifications:

    • Steel handle liners and bolsters.

    • Sharpened 440 stainless steel blade with black finish.
    • Modified in-line open lock with coffin button for closing.
    • Quick, one handed opening with inner spring assist.
    • 9 in. overall opened, 4 in. blade, 5 3/4 in. closed including loop, 5 in. closed without including loop.
How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Automatic Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.
