Fast action spring assist knives give you a tactical advantage when every second counts. The Tanto Fighter spring assist knife with black blade is a fast, large, and stylish tactical folder.

    Product Specifications:

    • Sharpened 440 stainless steel blade with black finish.

How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

It's a good knife for the low price. However, the screws on mine started to come loose after only a few months of use. I no longer carry or use it; I have upgraded to the Cold Steel Recon 1 Tanto folding knife. It sure was extremely fast on the draw though when I did use it.

A very intimidating knife. It's a little hard to open out of the box, but I'm sure a little adjusting will make it perfect. It springs open as if to let you know it means business. Comes fairly sharp out of the box.

My concern is the blade tends to lean to the front face (one with the logo) so much it actually makes contact at the right side of the logo. Also, the lock tolerance is so tight that if I press it but leave the blade out, it can still move freely. I have to swing the blade back into place to lock it again.

    I don't think it's a bad buy for $10 though.

Got mine in the other day and I like it. It's heavier than most of the other knives I have, but not so heavy that its uncomfortable to hold or use. It opens very fast and with little effort. it wasn't very sharp, but a few passes through my accusharp made it extremely sharp. Mine has trouble closing because the little metal part you have to push down to close it kind of grinds on the blade. Other than that, its a solid knife

Vary sharp and sturdy knife. Its a bit more bulky then I thought it'd be but still a good size. The spring assist is fast and effortless. The knifes also far more intimidating then I expected it to be, so if you pull this out on somebody I'm sure they'll think twice before attacking you!
