The first knife I got was an armor of God Bowie. It had a bent tip I easily fixed and someone's name engraved on it, still working on that. The second was a 2 piece timber rattler set with a big bowie and small knife. Full tang with bone handles. Nice leather sheath that holds them both, could not find any problems. The third was another 2 piece timber rattler. Full tang with real wood handle. The only issue was the smaller knife was missing. The fourth and best was a Damascus Bowie with a stag handle and brass guard. Beautiful knife. It had a small section with pitting. May be unnoticed if it wasn't for the time I spent staring at the Damascus design. Looked up the knives and got well over what I paid. I will definitely be doing this deal again.
3/4 blades i received were really nice. The timber rattler had a ding in the tip of the blade that i fixed in about 5 minutes other than that any defects on the knives were cosmetic.
So I just got these today and I am not disappointed at all.
Shipping was a bit of a problem I ordered them on the 1st and they didn't ship out till the 9th and got here today.
The first was a U.S.M.C. combat fighting knife not much to say except it's a nice little knife in perfect condition. The next was a kissing crane 170th anniversary knife that's not even available anymore it's a nice knife but you can tell it was obviously used the hand guard was loose and the blade had a few marks on it nothing major I think the worst part about this knife is it didn't come with a sheath which is a huge safety risk for me since I have two very young kids it came in bubble wrap like who does that but other wise it would be a nice solid knife. Third was mithrokil short sword can't say I would have picked this one cause it's not really my style but it's still a really bad ass sword to have. And last but certainly not least my favorite out of the bunch the Gil hibben survivor Bowie and let me tell you this thing is bad ass nice and solid and it's perfect except for a bent tip which I don't know how the hell that happened cause this thing is extra sturdy.
Great price for the quality of stuff you get can't beat it I definitely recommend this
Ordered 3 more sets. Even better than my first. Just to give an example I'll name a few of the most worthy that I received. I got two Gil Hibben Knives retail worth over over 150 each, a beautiful timber wolf bowie with a carbon fiber style blade. Retails for about 80, and my personal favorite a very nice Damascus steel Bowie with a deer bone handle. Easily worth the price and I highly recommend it. I can't wait until true swords adds the sword version of this sale so I can try my luck at that as well.
So to start off I need to point out how great the price tag is for the amount of stuff you receive. For 20$ I got a machete, 2 bowie knives, and a decorative wolf knife (the hilt was damaged but the pieces were in the box so it was an easy fix. One of the bowie knives I received was a beautiful full tang tumbler rattler bowie with a 7.5 inch partner knife and a real leather sheath. This knife alone was worth well over the 20$ price tag, and the other additions just feel like nice little bonuses. Everything was also in almost new condition so don't let the "scratch and dent" name scare you off, this is quality merchandise and I'll be buying 2 more to test my luck.
Good stuff. Was not disappointed.
These knives are big and solid things. I have no idea what I'll do with them but they are a heck of a deal. I got two damascus steel blades and two bowie style knives, all very large. Three of the four came with leather sheaths and honestly I couldn't find the flaw in any of them. If you're worried that they're unloading crap onto customers with these grab bags, they aren't... good stuff and cheap! All were full tang and well put together. If I had it to do over again, I might have done the smaller fixed blade knives grab bag deal, but these are great too.
My brother's birthday was coming up and I decided that I should get him something. Being cheap, i found this and immediately bought this, vowing to keep two for myself. Honestly, I thought this would turn out to be cheap and crappy just like most grab and go bags. However, to my pleasant surprise, I received 1 machete, 1 pair of knives not even sold on this site, A high quality bowie knife, and the crown jewel. A Gil Hibben eclipse bowie knife that was the 2011 annual knife. this was like 7 pounds of beauty. the only problem was a bent tip but even with that it went through a sheet of pressure treated drywall like it was cardboard. all of the knives were full tang and the machete was 1/2 tang. everything came fairly sharp too. I could not identify the acclaimed "flaw" with either the set of knives or the machete but the other bowie had a tear in the strap in the sheath and the gill hibben one had a bent tip as well as a broken display mount. the names of the knives are:
1. Heavy duty bowie knife W/ brass guard
2. united cutlery combat coliseum gladius
3.Timber rattler cattle drive knife combo ( not one this site but, on BUDK)
4. Gill Hibben eclipse bowie (discontinued in 2011)
100% would buy again
