This US 1942 military combat sword would do any serviceman proud with its razor-sharp black-coated AUS-6 stainless steel blade, featuring a blood groove, tanto point and partially serrated edge. Like traditional fixed-blade military knives, this combat sword has a heavy stacked leather handle with a steel guard and end cap. The blade measures 19-3/4" in length. This 27-1/2" combat military sword includes a black nylon shoulder sheath sling that you can carry on your shoulder like a real combat soldier.

Pretty short sword, quite a bit shorter than what I was hoping for, but that should be attributed to me not knowing how long 19-3/4 inches is. Very hard to chip but the black finish on the very point, but I've been abusing it alot and it has held up well. I only have a few issues. The nylon sheath is falling apart from the serration and the leather strap on the handle has already fallen off. it would be nice if the sheath was at an angle instead of parallel to the leg. If you ignore the sheath or make your own this blade is 5/5, I only bring it down a star because of the sheath.

Just about the highest quality sword you can get for $30

Blade was slightly bent and finish was chipped in a couple places but nothing I wasn't able by to touch up. Very solid piece overall and still quite pleased. I'm building a scabbard for it before displaying with my 1939 stamped Mosin Nagant 91/30 and GI styled 1911.

Modern creations should NOT be passed off as US Military vintage items.

I got the sword for the same reason most of you will,it looks like the US military sword. But I have to complaints. One so its not as long as I was hoping for, into the swords not made in the United States. But other than that it's a great blade. One that I'm glad I got.
