Very nice and fun. I really enjoy this weapon. I actually broke my first one; however, that was completely my fault because I really wanted to see how much it could take. I am actually ordering a replacement because for overall display purposes, this weapon is very fun, but be careful, the blade is sturdy, the handle is not.
Bought 2 of them and look very cool. They weren't very sharp and the handle and armband need a bit of work to assembly but very sturdy.
Have NO idea who or what Bloodrayne is. But when I first saw these [I bought two] I thought "make a sword" kit. That is what I intend to do--"create" my own shortsword.I didn't even consider putting them together as pictured since I have problems seeing that form as an effective weapon.Truly one would have to be preter-human or superhuman to use them as designed. A well guided slash to the handle and youd be missing at least three fingers. And though the Fillipino martial arts did have a style that used two pieces of wood tied to the arms--I doubt most "modern" users would have the dedication to effectively use the "fantasy" form of the blade. However with all the holes and cutouts on the sword body it is perfect for DIY. It will be months before I get the tools and find the metal pieces needed to make these a sort of thin butterfly/cudgel shortsword. It will be ugly but I believe effective. Now the metal of these are not up to battlefield specs--at least not with me wielding them. It would take a real swordsman to stand these against real steel. But I was surprised at their resistance to bending when set across an armchair and pressed down in the middle. From about an inch and 1/2 they came back into true. About all you could ask of this price blade.I also--because these are "cheap" blades--struck it against an old stained and beaten hardwood endtable--To see if the blade would be affected. I didn't use much force and was surprised that blade had no damage but with light slash had bitten into the wood about 1/4 inch.Even at higher price these would be a deal. I just ask that Trueswords puts out a real "make a sword" kit with different style blade/guard/pommel selection. And maybe an after-market "dressup" kit to make your creation really personal.I am going to be a repeat customer. As proof see my reviews of Spartan sword and swordcane.Thanx-hope this helps.
Best sword I have ever purchased. Thing thing was so awesome. Everybody that saw it wanted one and asked where I got it.
exelent i love this sword its amasing quality
Excellent quality blade. It arrived clean and undamaged, with a sharp enough blade (although I'll probably sharpen it some more). The assembly was very easy, and I had no problem with the strap size. It feels very secure and deadly strapped to my arm. For only 14 bucks everyone should have one of these.
did not expect it to be some assemply required , strap was way to small .one rivet did not want to line up . but still not bad for the price .lit the zombies come , it is still a fun piece
the armblade is amazing (look-wise). the blade is not sharp at all except the point. the strap is axtremelu small so i had to make my own costomized one. i have yet to sharpen it yet, but its an o.k. item
By far worth the 13.99!!! And worth buying 2 so you have 1 on each arm. These things feel so comfortable to swing around. A must for the zombie apocalypse! The only problems I had was the assembly was kinda difficult but not impossible, you just need a rubber mallet to get the screws in. Also the straps kinda suck, the Velcro comes open on hard swings. I fixed that with new straps from jax with clips instead of Velcro. But for 13.99... I can't complain
Came very sharp and nicely made. Fits well only problem was that putting the arm band and grip was hard to get put on but once it is on it stays on very well.
