This blade is awesome! I tore apart my archery target and was even able to throw it across the room and hit my mark!! Cut clean through the top of my shoe pulling it out of my target (accidentally of course) This is a serious weapon! Well built and sturdy and a definite recommend to friends!!

"Spear designed for law enforcement".... Since when would any law enforcer use a spear.

Great spear. I love it. Would like more length on the handle. 2 spears at this length single handed is quite a dangerous combo though.

I would only purchase this as a display piece. The steel in the blade is crappy soft stainless (there is a reason it's so thick, it's because it's crap). I have seen the point bend 90 degrees just from throwing it into soft white pine. The shaft is very flexible and weak and seems prone to breaking. For any kind of survival task, this blade is a terrible choice. It would not reliably cut, chop or split, and it won't even make a spark on most ferro rods. As am offensive or defensive weapon against soft fleshy people, I suppose this would work a few times. But if this is for your silly zombie fantasy, think again, this blade will bend or break on the first try to split a skull. This is advertized as a breaching tool as well and frankly, I don't think this would survive the attempt unless your breaching a homeless guys cardboard shelter. What a TERRIBLE product. I did give it two stars because it IS pretty cool looking if you are a mall ninja (like most M48 products, they look good, but don't hold up to real use).

I bought this spear a while ago and it hasnt failed me yet. Very sturdy. This is of so much quality that i plan on buying the rest from this brand.

Very impressed with both this spear and its hammer brother. The spear head is SOLID. The edge is decent, but this thing is definitely durable. I wouldnt hesitate to use it to pry open a door if I had to, provided I could get the thicker part of the blade head (and this this is nearly 1" thick) into the jamb.

This spear has a hefty weight to it. It's all centered closer to the blade. The blade itself is as thick as the spear shaft and the tang travels about 3 to 4 inches down the shaft, securely bolted by three screws (that are flush with the shaft)

By first reaction was "Freaking awesome!" And I took it outside and started stabbing trees. To my dismay, it can't handle much hard stabbing before the tip begins to bend in so the steel isn't as hardened as it could be for a spear, but I digress. Spear tips are the most dangerous point of the spear and the weakest point at the same time. It is easily hammered back in place and if any of the blade becomes chipped? You can simply sharpen away until there are no more imperfections.

I would definitely recommend this spear to any one of my friends. I recommend this spear to you who are reading this.

Hands down the best money I've spent at true swords. The picture does not even come close to giving justice. Very sturdy construction. Very heavy, very very thick blade. This is a serious weapon. Top notch. Highly recommended.
