I just received this new blade today and it is absolutely beautiful ! Not a blemish anywhere and paper-cutting sharp. To me, well worth much more than the $60. It will be a prized piece in my collection.
for 60$ this was seriously impressive, not as high carbon as i had assumed it would act at 1045 but still great. i just wouldnt recommend cutting small trees with it, u may bend and ruin the blade :.( though it can be fixed u still should treat it like it is, a weapon
Well first off this was my first sword Second the cardboard box it came in.....did not survive lolIts a beautiful piece to start up my collection I also love how the scabbard is made of cedar lol I love that smell It got a 5 of 5 cause I show it off every chance I get ^.^
Its has a great look and feel to it. Ive used it for all kinds of light cutting like cardboard, watter bottles, etc. and I honed it with my musashi kit to make it even more razor sharp. An amazing buy
I love this sword!! When if came in the mail, I did notice a small bad place on the sheath, but, other than that, it truly is beautiful. I highly recommend this item!
I really like the natural wood. Beautiful Katana. Made a clean cut of a 1 inch branch. Very sharp. Excellent price. All parts fit perfect.
I got mine for Christmass, though I new my parents got it a month in advance, because I checked my order info... Haa! Even though I knew, I was still suprised by its amazing beauty. Every detail was true to the descriptions, and I even got a coupon for my next purchase. Size comparason was perfect for me, concidering that I'm 6' 2'' at 300 lbs. This sword is perfect for being my first one & first choice. I've had my eyes on this one for about a year untill now, and if you had not noticed, it has been changed in some way... but for the better. ex... the handle guard and the color of the ornaments under the "Cord" grip. But don't let that stop you from wanting to have it. It is amazing and "Uniqe" (one of the reasons I love it so much.)
A beautiful katana. Relatively sharp. Oiled right out of the saya, though the oil reeks. Beautiful saya, as well. A very good katana for any collection. The only thing I don't like about it is that the Fedex guy left it on my doorstep unattended for almost 4 hours. Which isn't good... expecially since I live in florida and it was very humid at the time. So, keep in mind to be home all day every day from the time you order your product until it's in your hands.
This is an excellent sword. Everyone I've shown it to wanted one. It cut through an orange with just a flick of the wrist. The tsuka is very tightly wrapped and perfectly fits my hand. The tsuba has no wiggle at all and a very interesting design on it. The blade itself has a very nice curve to it and came pre-oiled. the only problem I have is the saya, it has a very cheap feeling, almost like particle board, but it doesn't even bother me because of how wonderful the rest of the sword is.
Got this sword a few weeks ago, and when i got it, it was reasonable sharp but i eventually had to sharpen it so that it could cut bottles more efficiently. One of the first things a noticed was that it had some weight to it. It also, unlike the picture shown, has an artificial hamon. The sword came oiled and it seems there's some oil at the bottom of the scabbard. It also came with a sword bagAlso, occasionally some wood shavings appear on the sword, not a big problem though. The cloth on the handle gets dirty pretty easily. I gave it a 5 out of 5 because its a great sword for the price, and its really nice sword.
