Excellent... It is very durable and well made. Highly recommend for training.

GREAT value-i was set on a wooden model to train with, but theres an infamous video circulating showing this PRACTICE gladius slice through a cinder block!
That, coupled with additional research led me to the conclusion that for a little more money, you can train with a weapon that wont splinter or rot, as opposed to wood.

Shipping was fast, including the holiday weekend!

Sword has a slight bend, not hard to fix.

It is a good sword, it is light and is easily maneuvered and flexible. The only reason I don't like it is because of it's short reach, and because it didn't hold up as well as I thought. It has a large amount of dents. Otherwise, Trueswords, awesome sword.

The sword is VERY durable and the weight is perfect. I would definitely recommend this sword to anybody. It's also fun for a beginner.

this is my first polypropalene weapon, me and my brother have gone through countless wooden wasters in the past year, all stated they were made from select hard wood and sure to take as much abuse as you could dish, and all failed misserably, this product however holds up to the claims, will continue to buy these amazing products, thank you true swords and cold steel for a great buy

The best practice sword I've used and very good quality but the center of gravity is about the width of my hand away from the hilt which is not historicly accurate but who cares it's awesome and cheap so get it and precise shipping.

Just opened mine up, and was pleasantly surprised. After looking it over, I found that it's more leaf shaped than an actual Gladius, but the sword is superbly made, and takes a beating with little marks on it. I've used a Cold Steel Katana against it, and I held my own pretty well, even with the lack of leverage. Balanced well, with a front heavy blade, so it does have a certain amount of power to it. Now, personally, if Cold Steel would make a shield to go with this, I'd buy, strictly because it's a great S&S weapon, and also because wielding two-handed is a bit of a pain with the large pommel. Other than that, no complaints. Thank you True Swords for selling a wonderful product, and thank you Cold Steel for supplying it

Being something of a sucker for the classics, I simply couldn't pass this one up before taking the plunge and purchasing an actual gladius.

This facsimile of a gladius seems, at least to this trained classicist, too long and too wide near the head to be considered truly accurate in regards to the actual weapon. Beyond that, though, it's an excellent training weapon and general backyard beater.

The weight of it feels good in the hand, and works well. Overall, very sturdy and very reliable. Cold Steel makes the best practice weapons I have ever had the pleasure of training with, and this gladius is no exception.

On word of warning--these are NOT suitable toys for children. Despite the tip being rounded, these are heavy instruments that could seriously injure, far removed from costume and toy swords.
