As a kobudo practitioner I feel these said are prefect for training, with the exception of the handle wrap these are well made and underpriced

True Swords FAN here with another honest review. These Sai are very nice and came well polished. Nice weight distribution and overall design. Plus, they look cool as hell! Still learning how to handle these but this is a nice set. Traditional slightly pointed prongs, a nice leather like wrap with gold trim (I fear the trim wont hold up with much use but I will coat it with a poly resin that should protect and prolong) and good thickness of the steel. It could certainly put a hurtin on someone if they were hit with one of these! Overall Great buy!

Don't know a lot about sai, but they are heavy solid steel and they would certainly hurt if you got hit with one.

nice good for training and getting used to.
not sharp but thats ok. The handle wrap is tight and the sai's have a strong feel to them. Again a steal for the price.

I don't really have any complaints on this purchase. I've always wanted a pair of Sai ever since watching the Ninja Turtles as a kid. I expected the tips to be a little pointier, but I'm sure there are ways to fix that if I really want to. They are heavy in the handle, but I'm pretty sure they are supposed to be and feel good. The wrappings are definitely comofrtable and the metal seems sturdy. 5/5

I just received mine and I am greatly impressed. They are heavier than I expected and the golden wrapping is much thinner than in the picture. All the tips are flat but they can still pierce a hay bale quite nicely. Good job trueswords!

Excellent!! They are made from great quality steel, when you tap them together you hear a keen sound. very durable the have good weight as well. after you learn the use of the weapon you can sharpen the tips with a grinder if you want to.

i'm not mary beth that is my mom. she ordered these for me. first thing the handles, on mine atleast, are different they're mostly solid black with a thin gold wrap no where near as large in the photo. aside from that they're awsome. my friend came over and he trains with sai in tung su do and he said they were better than the ones he payed like $40 for.
