My first TrueSword blade. Light and balanced. Needs to have an additional wrap placed over the initial handle wrap but other than that its a fantastic thrusting blade. Very similar in size to a roman gladius but for less than half the price of one. I recommend this for any collection. Its a no-brainer
Truly awesome sword for the price, very durable, but I ordered two of these, and neither of them came sharp, in fact, they both were completely dull. No cutting ability whatsoever. Happy with the swords, but irritated that I received two blunt weapons despite being told that they would come sharp. They did, however arrive very quick considering where I live (Utah). The shipping estimate was spot on.
I have had my sword for two weeks now. The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box was that the wraping was loose. Fortunately I was prepared for this thanks to earlier reviews so I took some black grip tape and put a layer over the whole handle. Next was that within minutes the tip had punched through the bottom of the scabbard. I took tries with sewing and duct tape and I even tried a dozen layers of electric tape, but they all failed against the sharpness of the tip. Finally, I took some leather and sewed two layers onto the sheath. That finally did the trick. They promised sharp, and sharp it was. All in all great for the money but if you are looking to be a ninja or even just want a conversation peice, I reccommend saving up for something better.
This is a wonderful sword. I just got mines today, and the only thing I didn't like was the string coming undone, and the blade being a little dull. This sword has a nice point, and I recommend this blade to anyone's collection.
I really like this blade. It's nice and sharp, not too heavy, not to light and it is very cool! Love this sword.
Well made sword, could have been sharper. The wrapping was slightly loose so I re-wrapped it tighter, I re-sharpened the blade and other than that have had no issues. It's one of my more flimsy blades due to the cut outs, but with how light it is, it is also easily moved and fast. The idea behind short swords is not to clash anyway.
This is one of my favorite blades because it is lightweight, strong and sharp at the same time and this means a lot for free runners who run though grassy areas with vines
I had this sword for a few years now and not once did I think of this peace as a bad buy. This sword is one of my favorites in my ever growing collection.Like the page says, this sowrd comes SHARP. I was able to cut throw my old wallet like it was nothing. even though the wallet was old, it wasn't falling aprt or showing age.One of the down sides to this sword is that when you hold the sword and touch the blade, it feels like it's really thin. As if it would break really easily. I know most swords you be that are around the same price aren't meant to use in an ACTUAL battle. I'm saying it would break easely by just carrying it from place to place.other then that, this sword is agreat peace to add to your collection. For me, I'm thinking of buying a second.
love the style and awsome as a display but good as a training or knock around blade
An interesting pig-sticker for 13 bucks. The tip is needle thin and is probably fairly easy to bend or break. It feels more balanced if I hold it with my forefinger though the groove in front of the handle. The wrapped handle is okay, but I think I can fashion something a little nicer.
