This is our largest functional blade!
The Odachi, sometimes incorrectly referred to as a nodachi sword or no-dachi, features a traditional hand braided leather wrap a blackened steel tsuba and pommel along with beautiful red tassels.
The sharp high carbon steel blade is mounted with a traditional copper habaki. The scabbard on this odachi sword is handmade from wood, which is painted in high gloss dark brown liquid finish paint.
This amazing sword is crafted of high carbon steel, in order to replicate as closely as possible the composition of the blade.
The Odachi measures an extraordinary 5 feet 8 inches overall with a blade edge which measures 42 1/2 in. long which continues an extra 10 in. into the handle.
The diameter of the steel tsuba is 4 inch and it is hand made. The leather braided handle and matching leather braided scabbard, with a back strap, and high gloss dark brown polish paint finish the sweeping look of this absolutely superb sword!
