Those who have spent serious time outdoors knows that in survival situations, wild plants are often the only sustenance available.

The proper identification of these plants can mean the difference between survival and death.

This book describes habitat and distribution, physical characteristics, and edible parts of wild plants -- the key elements of identification. Hugely important to the book are its color photos. There are over one hundred of them, further simplifying the identification of poisonous and edible plants.

No serious outdoors person should ever hit the trail without this book and the knowledge contained within it. 160 pages, 6 in. x 9 in.

Got the book the next day after ordering which is very inpressive, but anyway the book itself is kinda lacking on alot of things such as mushrooms only thing it says is just dont eat them but in a survival situation you may need to eat them. Anyway its a dept. of the army book being that its an ok guide could be better i will rate it a 5 star just for the speedy shipping. thanks true swords you are a company who has its crap together.

I haven't read the entire book, but I did, however, skim through it and looked at the pictures and captions. This guide may come in handy if you are going hiking or camping because it has a detailed description of hundreds of plants that are of use. It also has little warning signs on the plant if it could be potentially dangerous. It's a neat and useful book to have!
