Sweet sword. Good for light sparring and kata practice. Looks very cool and would also be sweet painted with wood or acrylic paints. Construction is slightly light but great for getting the general feel of a cutlass.

I had to sand it down in places since it was not completely smooth. The handle was glued messy like, (such as the glue was applied and there was to much so it globed). Mostly, i will beat my brothers with it, so it doesn't have to be perfect; but i thought it would be a tiny bit better. To make it more of my own, im going to paint the handle to make it more realistic. :)

I was impressed with the pirate cutlass. It is glued from 4 pieces though some claim 3. The blade and handle are separate pieces and the guard is 2 pieces. Being it be glued in pieces it is a display sword, which I did buy it for this reason.

This sword is 3 pieces. The handle and blade are same piece, going all the way up. The guard is 2 pieces, the striaght piece the sword goes through. and the curved hand guard. For wood its actually pretty decent, feels sturdy enough if you want to go crazy on air, if for some reason you got mad at it. Wouldn't hit solid things with it though.

pretty, but not useful for sparring; the sword is three pieces, and the blade has a tang inside the handle; good design if it was metal, not if its wood. that said, ill be using it for my costume at the ren fest; ill just make sure not to fight with it

It looks sweet and its durable. i wouldn't swing it too hard because it would brake at the hilt. its looks like its made from five peaces. i think it would be stronger if it was made of just one. I like it allot, its awesome.

when i got mine, i went to my class to practice, and a chip flew of, but there was a knot there... or well other that that good srowd

The sword itself is nice... it holds up alright to heavier practice swords but the guards are weakly built and break easily. These are built more for sparring with a one handed or dual wielding partner... not a two handed weapon specialist. Over all they're pretty to look at but wear something paded if you plan to hack and slash with a friend or two.
