Each 4034 stainless steel blade is teflon-coated and features the ultra-fast M.A.G.I.C. assisted-open mechanism which can be activated by the ambidextrous thumb stud or the finger actuator on the back of the blade. Once activated the blade springs open at a phenomenal speed.

A blade safety switch ensures no accidental opens and a liner lock ensures the blade doesn't accidentally close while in use. 3.4 in. blade, 7.7 in. overall, 4 3/10 in. closed.

How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

This nice is amazing!! everyone i show it to is jealous and the hair trigger works every time. Like the other comment the clip is crazy tight when your first get. once i finally got in hooked on my pants i just let set there for a couple of hours and it eventually got easier to work with. yes it is more expesive than some of the other auto knives on the site but it is so worth it in the end

love it! i just bought this and it was definitely worth it. hair trigger for a quick open, came incredibly sharp (cut my thumb immediately ;D) haha. but it's great! the colors, the shape, and everything else is just pretty good.

    the upsides:
-super sharp! cuts through practically anything like... well like a hot knife through anything! :P
-has a locking mechanism that keeps it from coming open in your pocket
-hair trigger switch for easy opening
-fits your fingers when open for a good grip
    -fantastic color, exactly as advertised
-blade has a very good shape and makes people interested every time you open it.

    the downsides:
-the clip is insanely tight. you'll need to wear it in for a few weeks to get it to loosen up. or you could take the shortcut and just loosen it with an allen wrench
-the colors look great, but scratch it, and i'll come off. unfortunately it's not going to be permanent.
-it didn't come in 2-3 days, it took right around 6 or so. but maybe it was just because it was a weekend when it should have arrived.
-and finally the last "slight" problem i have with the knife, is that the locking mechanism sometimes will become unlocked in my pocket, and that means when the trigger is bumped, it opens.
-sort of expensive for a spring assist. but if you're a knife enthusiast, it's a steal.

other then that, a great knife. i give it a 9/10
