The Smith & Wesson MP Series One Black Serrated folding knife is equipped with a 3" part serrated modified clip blade constructed of Teflon stainless steel with Smith & Wesson MP etching. The T6061 aircraft aluminum handle has a unique M.A.G.I.C assisted opening mechanism. Includes a thumb stud. 4 1/4" closed.

Smith & Wesson M.A.G.I.C. assisted opening technology:

    Magic Assisted Opening Knife

How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

I collect many tactical knives including the SOG Trident and some CRKT M16's. This knife ranks very high with its fine craftsmanship. It was the perfect size for me and I love the M.A.G.I.C. spring assist button. The price is a bargain compared to other websites. It came in two days! I definitely recommend this knife to anyone who wants a great quality tactical knife for an affordable price.

By far the best spring assist knife i've come across. Entire construction is sturdy, blade is sharp and (the description fails to mention) comes with a window breaker stud. Having the Smith and Wesson name behind it doesn't hurt either. Well worth the price.

As always TrueSwords has pulled through with an excellent product and service. It came to me within 3 days, and it came very sharp. It is a heavy, sturdy knife that opens lightning fast with a good lock, plus the window breaker on the back is an awesome feature. Perfect knife all around, thank you once again Trueswords.

very nice, good finish, super sharp. i actually cut myself on accident with the tip. sturdy full metal w/ some rubber on the side handle. opens fast with spring assist. lock works. There is a window cracker in the back of the knife. i didn't even see it mentioned in the description. belt clip is very stiff and hard.
