One of our favorite products are spring assist knives, and this model has all the points we consider key. Full size, solid construction, fast action, and maybe most important, a Low Price.

    Product Specifications:

    • 4 3/4 in. closed, 8 in. open, 1/2 in. wide.
    • 3 1/2 in. 440 Stainless Steel blade, combo edge w/ black finish.
    • Spring Assist "Legal Automatic" Pocket Knife.

How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

One of the few knives made to be opened while pulling out of the pocket rather than having to rotate (the belt clip is on reverse from most knives). I love this feature and is what makes this my favorite pocket knife. Comes fairly sharp and holds an edge well. On the downside the belt clip loosens with in a few uses and falls off. No problem right? Wouldn't be except the right size torque bit to tighten is hard to find. What I did was use a hack saw to turn the torque screw holding the belt clip on into a flat-head screw. Add a little lock-tight, tighten with screw driver and that thing is on there for the long haul.

Overall a great knife worth more than what it's sold for.

Gorgeous knife but the blade is to long, and it won't lock properly.

I bought this knife a long time ago and its a great knife never gets dull i dont think :p anyway it works great its nice and fast, but when i was just using it one day and i flipped it open, the bar that keeps the blade locked in place went too far and the blade just moves back and forth and its a pain in the butt getting the blade back where it is supposed to be... i wish it didnt do that but it may just be a malfunction in the metal... it sucks but otherwise its a really great knife i really recomend it to anyone looking for a sleek fast and sharp knife

A good, basic knife. Mine is a little hard to close but other than that it's great. I like how it is serrated, too.

This knife is absolutely amazing. I lost my Gerber knife and needed a replacement, so I checked true swords. My old one was a flip. Switching to a spring assist was pretty easy, and useful. The knife is overall great, It has very few flaws; The blade when closing sometimes scrapes against the case, but that's nothing to worry about and could probably be fixed. Amazing Shipping, got it in 3 days! For $10, this blade is definitely worth it.

I had originally purchased this knife and discovered that while the knife overall was excellent, the blade extended a few millimeters too far into the handle, preventing it from locking into place. True Swords read the review I left and called me 20 minutes after I had posted it! They offered me a replacement free of charge, and also let me keep the defective knife! The replacement came in 3 days and is superb. No problems whatsoever. The spring assist works smoothly, the blade is nice and sharp. I have purchased other items from True Swords, and have been extremely satisfied with them all. All I can say now is what I told the representative over the phone: "You guys rock!"

Overall a good knife, but limited durability. Looked good, cut through things quite easily, and the serrations certainly helped with some jobs. I carried it with me everywhere for several months, but screws eventually came loose and the sections of the handle separated.

Product came to me quickly. It functions just as mentioned and opens fairly smoothly. It is hard to close, but this is just because of the spring. I highly recommend this knife.
