No samurai sword collection should be without this unique work of art. The two-tone tsuba has the look of a century old sand garden with dragon statue standing guard. Ruby red cord wrapping around black ray skin, this sword is sure to turn heads.

That is just the beginning though, the unsharpened carbon steel blade is modeled after traditional double edge geometry. Featuring top and center blood grooves, the two edges come together forming a prominent spear point.

    Product Specifications:

    • 39.5 in. overall, 27 in. blade.
    • Carbon Steel blade.
    • Hardwood saya (scabbard) with glossy black lacquered finish.
    • Hardwood handle with nylon wrap.
    • All metal fittings with traditional designs.
    • Custom katana sword design.

Overall A VERY Good Display Sword, Im Pleased With It Generally, Not Sharp But For $25.00, I Wasnt Expecting It To Be, It Is Thick With Grease But I Guess Thats Just To Preserve The Blade, A Little Hard To Get Out Of The Saya But It Seems That After Removing Alot Of grease Its Getting Easier, My Only Real Complaint Is, The Ito And Saego, (Sword Handle And Sheath Wrapping) Arent As Crimson Red As The Picture, Its A Bit Darker And Kind Of Dull Looking As Opposed To The Shiny Red Pictured, And The Longer Thinner Blood Groove On One Side Seems As If It Wasnt Ground Out All The Way, But None The Less, Its A WONDERFUL Display Piece, But If You Want One For The Functionality Of It, Get The $90.00 Version.

I got this originally to have a neat looking sword that I wasnt afraid to get damaged. I would like to point out several things i found wrong with it. While it looks good for decoration, the blade is super thin in my opinion, probably the only thing that doesn't make its lack of a significant spine dangerous is that its made from carbon steel. Second, mine had clearly alot of machine tool work on it that nearly ruined the asthetic a bit. I've been told this is not true in all cases though, so take from that what you will. Thirdly, its light. Super light. I have a wooden sword heavier than it. I guess over all, get this for a display piece or to teach a kid how to properly care for a sword (no edge on it either out ofthe box) since it is carbon steel, maybe use it forform practice. I'm not really disappointed in this because it never once claimed any sort of functionality, so its basically what it says on the box, in a manner of speech.

Sword came in time, Though the blade wasnt exactly a blade. Nothing a half hour with the accusharp didnt fix. Other than that sword looked just like it did with the picture. Cuts stuff very nicely once sharp, and the point is very.. pointy. I recommend this sword.

This is a great sword. Contrary to other reviews mine was actually quite stable and sturdy. No rattling or loose parts. However it did come coated with thick grease which took a couple hours to remove from the blade and saya. Not full tang but if I sharpened it I'm sure it would at least cut through 3 maybe 4 inches of straw or grass. Not a bad sword for the price.

It is what it is, a cheap version of the kissaki morha Zukuri style. I own a $300 version of this style and purchased this one to use as a blunt practice sword.

First off, This sword is not a functional sword. By that I mean it can not be taken apart, the ito wrap on the tsuka is very loose, and the blade it self is in what seems a half finished state. By unfinished I mean it seems the central fuller on each side end near the tip just before what is obviously drill holes part way into the steel. As for the edge, while not sharp there are some parts that are sharpish. I will have to file the edge down and re wrap the ito to make it a safer practice sword.

As first stated it is what it is. I did not expect much for this price and so am not disappointed. I do however feel it is important to let it be known in this review what to expect if someone is buying this, especially since the reviews I read for this were not very informed. This is a sword you might expect for so low a price, nothing really functional and no real display qualities.
