Keliikinolua Kelekolio, the reason you cannot draw your sword from the back is because you do not strap a samurai sword on your back it is impractical. i know mugen does in samurai champloo, but it is a cartoon. so remember it is impractical and almost impossible to draw a samurai sword from your back.
Got mine a couple months ago...it's fun to play with ...but i finally finished sharpening it ..now the real fun begins. ..lol..very light in the hand definitely not a defensive weapon but good buy for this price...i just like samurai shamploo..that why i bought it. .get it and have fun with it..and definitely sharpen it..take my word for it
the strings on the sword for the strap was tied all diffrent ways so i had to undo all and retie them. sword not sharp. not completely accurate but closes one ive seen. it is not full tang blad didnt go all the way through the handle. and blade insanly thin so bends easy. but cool to look at nd cosplay. fan of the anime sure to get sword.. no matter what way i tie it i can never pull the sword out from my back lol
I just got this sword today and the tip of the blade is about an inch from being straight. Other than that its a great sword
When i draw the sword, the gold piece at the end of the sheath stays on the base of the blade rather then staying on the sheath, but super glue fixed that problem. This sword is a lot smaller than my other swords, but that makes it very nice to swing around, it is defiantly light but not very sturdy. Sheath is plastic and blade is dull, but its for display so 4/5.
the typhoon swell may be my favorite sword of all time. Its very close in detail to the one seen in the anime series Samurai Champloon. i love it.
The sword itself is great. Not sharp, but that's an easy fix with some patience and a file. I'm not having any problems with the golden piece on the end of the handle. The sheathe, however, is plastic. The site says hardwood, but that's definitely plastic. The inside is some kind of wax that comes off on the blade when you draw it. I', hoping that after time, that will stop. Overall a good sword if you loves Samurai Champloo and want a wall prop.
The sword looks amazing. The only slight problem I had was that the blade wasn't perfectly straight. It wasn't a big issue though, after all it is just for display. The attention to detail is fabulous and looks exactly like Mugen's sword. It will look very impressive once I get it hung up. The sword is just for looks only. I would not feel comfortable at all with swinging it around. This is a must have for any Samurai Champloo fan or anyone who just wants a really unique sword in their collection. The sai style tsuba really makes it all stand out.
Very awesome sword! However the gold piece on the hilt is loose and I had to glue it back together and same with the brass piece on the scabbard. This was of the second sword I got. The first one, the blade was bent so can't say its a very sturdy sword. Because of that, I give it 3 stars
I am a big fan of Samurai Champloo, and when I saw Mugens sword I just had to have it.The sword arrived very fast within two days if I remember correctly. As soon as I opened the box I saw the beautiful scabbard and wire wrapped handle.Like most swords the blade heavily greased down, but I cleaned it off no problem. This is when i get to my first arrguement is that the goldish pieces on the end and near the top come off very eaisily and so do the screws that hold the back strap, but like the first comment eaisily fixed.Over all the sword is great I love and will definatly be coming back for more products from the site.
