Survival/Rescue operations demand a versatile knife able to withstand the most extreme abuse. The SRK® (Survival Rescue Knife) was designed specifically with this in mind. The blade is finished with a rich Teflon® coat which helps to protect the AUS 8A Stainless steel from the elements. It features a tremendously strong clip point that"s fine enough for delicate work, yet possesses enough belly for efficient cutting, slashing and skinning strokes as well. At 3/16 of an inch thick, the Survival Rescue Knife® offers the sturdiest possible point and edge configuration, without sacrificing sharpness. The SRK"s® handle sports a single quillion finger guard and a deeply checkered Kraton® grip.

Extremely solid, thick blade with an amazingly sharp edge. You can actually shave with this knife (Yes, I tested it).

Handle is comfortable and the sheathe is very attractive and fits perfectly. All in all, an excellent blade.

sorry guys but this isnt the carbon v its aus 8. still a good knife and a great price too. i will be ordering again. i was dissapointed that i diddnt get what was advertised.

the number on the box is "38ck" and from what ive read thats the modle number for the aus 8 and when i got mine it diddnt have the red information lable that warns that the knife must be kept dry and away from water. (i dont know exactly what it says but somewhere along the lines of that) wich is on the carbon v blades.

either way its a great knife, its got a very nice solid feel to it. it came shaving sharp out of the box. the blade is pretty thick and its got one hell of a point. definetly reccomended.

great knife just not carbon v.
