A Knife worth having....Reviewed by Luke F

Pluses..Good length. Great balance. Sheath's ok needs a little WD40 or a smear of mineral oil inside to aid in the removal and returning to sheath. Only let down, the Cold Steel name known for sharpness is grossly missing. Which is really surprising because all the other products I bought were shareable sharp. The only reason for a four star rating.

Do it..put some time in..great

1-Looking great. 2) Feel great; good weight. 3) Wise to use as a Sword (two-hand) (unless you got the arms & hands of Paul Bunyon to prevent twisting). Flipside: The sheath will need to be replace with sturdy material (leather-thick); Its worth the time to sharpen it than return it-that's the time of putting in (my personal situation). The razor sharp edge (wasn't present on mine-but it could have been just mine). Overall, even without the razor edge, it is worth a try knowing up front a little extra effort will be needed in sharpening it

Two hands

If your not using this machete with two hands then of course its going to twist and possibly bend. Its like using a katana, yes you can use one hand but if you actually know anything about weapons..... just use two hands:)

kinda disappointed. bought this with other Cold Steel machetes to test before offering to my customers. the handle is too long to wield good as a machete. full tang high carbon steel, so I ruined 3 hacksaw blades trying to cut down. I do like the blade, so I will just toss it in my vehicle should I run into some Zs. I agree with an earlier review, it likes to twist when in use.

Not good

I bought four machetes in the same order. This is the only one I am sending back. I took all our at the same time to test. This is the only one the bent. It is hard to stop it from twisting. The handle is round. I also got the double deal with the saw back striaght and the small kukree. I also got the large kukree with finger guard and saw back. All cut great out of the box except this one. It also cost the most the toughest was the $9.99 large kukree.

Cold Steel Cold Machete

Like all the other Cold Steel Machetes I was NOT disappointed. Solidly built, well balanced, it comes very sharp. Not your ordinary machete.
