several things were wrong with this sword when I got it, fast shipping though. Handle was black rather than blue, and the paint on the blade was screwed up, it was covered in grey streaks and the markings toward the hilt were slanted and painted sloppily, but honestly, this is a good quality blade as far as the metal goes, its sturdy and huge which is great, the only problem was the paint job. Oh! and watch out for the hilt it is very sharp sharper than the tip of the blade) and has cut me several times so be careful!
I have to say I am impressed at it's look alone, but the construction is poor, and there are many hazards throughout the blade. First of all the construction is terrible, even a light swing and this thing feels like it will fly right out of the handle! also the handle's blades are sharpened, which in even the most basic of combat with a longsword like this your hand would slip and get cut by the guard. So, I chose to dull those edges by hand for an hour just to make it safe to wield without cutting myself, from here it is only OK, and not much better either, I would say buy this is you are SURE you won't even TOUCH this thing once hung up (even if you just said you wont, trust me you will AT LEAST swing the thing around because it's fun, which this thing can't handle so yeah don't buy this) However it does look scary from a distance, so I guess if you are one of that tiny amount of people to be able to resist not swinging or anything then get it! Honestly budk you should remove this from stock, it looks good enough to the camera to make people buy it, but in person this thing only looks good from a distance, and like Aero said, yeah this thing is WAY to cheaply made for this price, I WOULD say it was OK, but not for this price, if you want something like this then save your money and find something on here that's cheaper. As for this sword, it's crap!
I bought this blade as a piece to add to a Halloween costume, since it was fittingly frightening based on the picture. What I got is, to this day, one of the worst "swords" I've ever seen. I had no delusions about this being a functional blade, but I wasn't expecting just how poor of a quality this is- and it's oh so VERY not worth the money being charged here. For starters, the good: It does have a frightening look in the dark, and it's quite unique- there are sharp points to it but as long as you're careful it's not too dangerous to anyone around you. The bad: It's dangerous TO you. The cross-guard fittings are as sharp as an actual sword and handling it the first few times left me with a few bad cuts. The "blade" itself might as well just be unsharpened sheet steel- in fact that's probably precisely what it is. It's light and long, but still unwieldy due to its size. The coloring you see on the blade is actually poorly applied spray-paint. It's not evenly applied, and it just looks like absolute junk (because, frankly, it is.) The hilt is hollow and light, and I worry if I squeeze too tight it'll snap. If you ever try to seriously SWING this sword you are VERY LIKELY to hurt yourself or others, due to the incredibly poor quality of its build. In summary... do not buy this blade. Do not LOOK at this blade, don't even think about it. It's not worth its own weight in scrap or shipping costs. Just... don't.
