Don't Tread on Me, my Country, or this knife. This lightning-fast, assisted-opener is built to perform.

The 3 1/2" black-coated blade is etched with the Don't Tread On Me etch and features the symbolic coiled rattlesnake. This performance knife also offers a glass-break spike and a seat-belt cutter for emergencies. Clip this workhorse on your pocket and you're ready to go.

How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Automatic Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

Been trying to find this one for some time now. The design is beautiful, the opening mechanism is quick, and etching on the blade is powerful.

Split the price with a buddy, and I have used it as a work knife. Durable and the assist holds up. Sharpens well and can take a beating. If you are looking for a work knife buy it!

great law enforcement tool Reviewed by Rick on Nov 07, 2013   5 out of 5

Great knife and tool to have in your pocket for those just in case times when you need to break a window or cut a seat belt. I have used a regular bladed knife to cut a seat belt and was worried about cutting the person I was trying to get out of an upside down car. This if needed will take that worry out of the equation. I have purchased several for friends of mine in the same line of work.

Favorite Reviewed by Rron on Jul 21, 2013   5 out of 5

I purchased a pair of these knives and 2 Smith & Wesson knives. The Patriot is by far my favorite knife. I love the way you hardly have to push the blade forward and it opens so fast with very little effort. The blade sharpens very well and keeps it's edge.

no complaints, its the only one I carry out of the six other styles of knifes I bought from kennesaw
