Very elegant. This is the short sword featured in the Sci-Fi novel "Brimstone's Knight" by W. Wright. The price went up slightly since I first looked at it. I guess that's due to supply and demand. Anyway, after reading the novel I just had to have one. So I requested it for my birthday and I actually got it! I'm very pleased.

The elegant ancient weapons that brought an army of dragon riding modern day Knights together in BRIMSTONE'S KNIGHT by W. Wright. The sword is a real eye catcher on a display board and has become my favorite. It's a real bargain at $19.99. You'll get more than your money's worth! "Will you answer the call? " - W. Wright

Sword appears well made with attention to detail. Sheath holds the sword inside with a slight push. Looks great with my collection of my other BudK products.

This LITTLE sword is great! Even though it's more of a long dagger then a short sword (if you'd like to call it a sword, the correct title would be a "VERY VERY short - short sword" lol ) - I would love to see a full size version of this sword! (double the size would be nice) It has great detailing and is a good buy for $20.

As a collector (and not really a fighter) my standpoint on this sword is that it is just beautiful and breathtaking. The craftsmanship on the handle and the hilt is incredible. The blade wasn't very sharp, which is fine for me being a collector. Be careful though because the hilt can actually be as sharp if not sharper than the sword! The weight of the handle is nice. Nothing loose. All made of metal. Overall a beautiful sword, and the favorite of my collection.

Amazing weapon!, although I wish it was longer, this masterpiece, does not disappoint! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap cool dagger to hang on their wall or to impress there friends with, a much better buy than the Dragon Templar sword.

Nice sword great detail and a little fun because you can freak out your friends. Any ways I give this a 5/5. Even tho I had a tragic accident ending up with the sword going all the way through my leg and ended up with 10 stitches, 6 on one side 4 on the other. still 5/5.

This Sword was a really cool sword. I really liked how there was so much detail in it, it's just so awesome! It's really nice that it is not so sharp so if you're swinging it around and you accidentally hit something it's probably not going to cut right through; there would just be a scratch. I have no complaints about the sword it's just awesome! If I could give it more stars it would be seven.

I ordered this because it looked cool and was inexpensive. When I got it I couldn't believe the value! Excellent value as the sheath alone is worth $20 bucks! The sword is more like a dagger size, but perfect for side weapon to regular sword.

Beautiful piece. More like a long dagger, but the design and style looks amazing. Definitely worth the buy

I just recieved this sword in the mail today and I already LOVE IT! It got here in like 4 days which is better than any place online I've ever ordered from! This sword is so short, but that's what makes it so awesome! It came with the sheath, it's so cool! Again the picture gives it no credit compared to when you see it in real life. If you think you want to purchase this you deffinatly should! You'll be happy with it!

Excellent timing, wonderful price, and the sword is beautiful. My fiance will love it Thank you True Swords!

THIS IS THE BEST SWORD EVER!!!! It's perfect for demolishing cardboard boxes, which is basically all I did today! It's lightweight, a good size, and the perfect sharpness.

I bought this short sword for my grandson, he's fourteen. He loves it, he likes the medieval swords. The blade is dull, but the hilt, handle and scabbard are very ornate and beautiful, a true Templar short sword! The blade fit well in the scabbard and it is a pleasure to gaze upon. Great deal for the price, with fast shipping! Thanks True Swords!

This is a very elaborate piece here. A little smaller than I imagined, but nevertheless I find the detail of this sword mesmerizing.

The Knight’s Templar Short Sword is very ornate. Another very nice sword for the price and a beautiful addition to my new sword collection. I also embellished this one by affixing a red stone right in the middle of the cross on the pommel.

This short sword is beautiful! It will make a great addition to my sword collection! I just wish the other sword I ordered was in as good a shape as this one!

This is a pretty good sword, very ornate. Not one I would normaly get for myself, (which is why I bought it for my dad.) Not a good sword for practical use but how many display swords can you think of that are. This is perfect for decorating an empty wall space, and it is pretty well made for $16. My only complaints are that the hilt is off center, so it doesn't sit properly in the sheath, and the blade was sticky with the oil, but these are only a miner details, hanging on a wall no one will notice. All and all a great buy.

Great short sword! It fits snuggly into the sheath and it's got a beautiful design. It's really nice, especially for the price it is.
May 05, 2007

This sword is absolutley beautiful. I the design on it is sharp and the sheath is just wonderfully designed. It was a good purchase
Apr 11, 2007

This sword is awesome. Tad on the short side but the detail is amazing and between the sheath and the hilt this sword i beautiful

Good buy. The sword is well made with beautiful ornate trim. Works well. The sheath came without the metal ornate tip or collar and it is made of plastic.

I got to say that I was a little disapionted of this sword. When I first got it I was still loving the sword but it is very small so now I just call it a dagger. Also it is very oily.
Sep 05, 2012

Smaller than I expected but beautifully crafted and expertly sharpened. A magnificent collector's piece.

I ordered this sword and it took roughly a week to be delivered. It is MUCH smaller than I was expecting (mainly because I didn't take the time to read that is was only 22" overall) it is also not as wide as I would have liked to see and you could see all the screws that held the handle together. The blade was not sharp upon delivery and took a while to sharpen it...Now that I have the negative things out of the way, here is the positve: From arms length, the detail is very nice in the handle. The blade has a very nice polished look to it, and the sheath has a nice appearance to it. All in all, its a good sword but not a 5. You get what you pay for and for $15.99, it's a great deal.

I've had this sword for a year or so and it has no problems. The chains on the PLASTIC sheath fall off some times but they are easy to put back on. Overall good dagger but a little flimsy.

The sword is a little bit on the short side, about the size of a dagger. The blade is a bit dirty, probably because of the seethe, which fits snugly on the blade. The blade itself is fairly sharp and overall it is a good sword if you are planning to just display it.
Dec 28, 2007

its a good short sword the only thing i found wrong wass the handle and the shieth did not go together as snug as the picture indicates you can still see abunch of the blade but other than that problem it was ok good for decoration and it is bigger than the masonic cross (short) sword
Jun 23, 2007

the detail on the handel and case is beautiful. but it is on the short side, if your looking for a decrotive sword i highly recomend this one
May 21, 2007

Very well made. In excellent condition upon arrrival and arrived quickly. i really love this sword as part of my collection and have ordered the true templar sword to accompany it. this is a must have for any templar fan.

The sword is not a bad decorative piece but certainly not functional. Wasn't really sharp and the metal tip on the sheath keeps falling off. It has alot of detail though and is a very attractive sword though it is a bit small like most of the cheaper blades on this site seem to be.
Dec 27, 2010

its a good dagger and nothing is wrong with it but don't buy it expecting it to be a sword because its not.

Apr 08, 2009

This sword is a beautiful sword, but should be a little longer. this is no short sword. it is more the size of a dirk. But still a good weapon to be added to someones collection.
Mar 29, 2008

Its not to bad but the metal piece at the bottom of the sheath wasnt on right like the glue opr whatever holds it wore off. It was smaller then i had thought. But other then that its good, and thats why i didnt return it im just going to gorilla glue the bottom piece back on to the sheath. Its worth its price though.

Decent, given the price, but pitiful in many respects...

The Good:
1: It looks cool, given its remarkable similarity to another sword on this site: http://www.trueswords.com/dungeon-guardian-fantasy-broad-sword-scabbard-p-4653.html it's almost like the company recycled the design or something...
2: It's about as cheap as you can get a functional medieval weapon.
3: It fits tightly into the scabbard, so is relatively safe to carry around even without a peace tie.
4: It's very sturdy, and has a firm grip for an all-metal handle.

The Bad:
1: The chains on the scabbard are unforgivably fragile and may break just by walking around with it on your belt.
2: The handle is ridiculously short, and I have somewhat small hands for a grown man, so don't take that statement lightly.
3: The blade is not straight in orientation with the hilt
4: The steel is very brittle

The Ugly:
1: You can see the seams where the hilt was welded together
2: You can see the screws holding this thing together from the same distance at which you can make out the detail on the yellow emblems
3: The double bevel is not straight down the length of the blade.
4: You can easily notice the word "China" on one side of the blade.
5: For some reason, the blade smells like vapor rub. I think this is due to the chemicals the probably used to stiffen the leather in the scabbard, but I don't know.
6: The extremely recessed opening on the scabbard makes it hard to sheathe without bringing it right up to your face to see.
7: Like the "Dungeon Guardian" sword I referenced in this review, the cutting edge is extremely blunt and hard to sharpen, but the tip is sharp enough to stick an armadillo, so it's too dangerous for playing, but not dangerous enough for box cutting
8: IT'S A DAGGER, NOT A SWORD! This website has a really bad tendency for naming its products for something much bigger than what the actual product is, and this "Short Sword" is no exception.

All things considered, you can get much better daggers on this site or others for just a little bit more money, but if you're on a very limited budget and want something superficially attractive for a fancy dress party, this is almost worth the price.
