MASSIVE sword...that's obvious...
Unfortunately, you'll need the world's biggest hands to get them around the ridiculously thick handle.
And, like others are saying, the wood handle rattles and rotates...doesn't stay in place.
After about half an hour or so on the belt sander, I'm happy to say I've gotten the handle down to a normal size and it feels great.
Just using sport tape right now to keep handle from spinning about, but will get some epoxy and do it right eventually.
Still though...great piece for an imitation Atlantean sword!!!
Awesome sword very nice craftsmanship would recommend to a friend. Thanks Bud K
Very nice sword, the handle is much thicker than show above. The sheath can't be put on the back without falling. The blade came completely dull except for the tip which was partially sharp. The blade does wobble, but not very much.Extreamly nice sword for the price.Thank you True Swords.
This is a very nice sword. By nice, I mean a friggin' beast. This sword is HUGE. Do not let the look of the handle in the picture deceive you, the handle is actually quite thick, much thicker than expected. The sheath does not stay very well if strapped to the back, it falls quite easily. The blade is not sharp, but it IS ready to be sharpened and quite pointy. The blade does wobble a bit, but not too terribly much. It is a nice sword for the price, but do NOT underestimate the size of this monster weapon.
Yeah...A great sword for the price. Balance is almost perfect...And can be with a little tweaking. Polish up a good adge on this big boy and it's ready for full service.... Once again trueswordsdotcom delivered to me with flying colors. Not really Japanese, not really Euopean, but has the qualities of both and then some. A true barbarian sword...thanks again trueswords....I know I'm havin' fun with it.
I just got mine and the sword is beautiful, the handle needed tightened, but it is beautiful. The sheath leaves a lot to be desired though. putting the sword into the sheath it cut the decoration laces on the front, and do not try to wear it over your shoulder with the strap on it like in the picture. It broke completely off the sheath when I tried to do this. Overall I would have given it 5 stars if not for the sheath.
just got my sword and must say, looks great. already hung it up and it is a beautiful piece. the sheath of course is not the greatest, though i never intended for it to be sheathed anyway. the handle was a little shaky, but some tape underneath the handle and re-tightening the pommel solved that issue. now it sits proudly on display for all to admire. thanks bud k.
the blade is great the only problem i have is the handle polish is on the pommel but besides that i love it
Good sword, the grip is not the best and is not suited for normal-sized hands unless right up at the handguard. The blade does not clip in to the sheath at all, so when the shoulder strap leans (and it WILL) then the blade will fall out. My only real concern is for the sheath; aside from that, the sword is wonderful.
This sword is great! almost the entire sword is steel, except for the wood handle. the only problems with the sword were that the wooden handle spun around when swung hard, which made me have to grip it right below the handguard. the blade isn't sharp at all, the sides are practically flat which could make sharpening it a little more annoying. The sheathe was my biggest problem, as soon as i got it the top button was rusted and broke off, the clip things holding the sheathe are easily bent and the sheathe is wobbley when on your back, causing it to lean to the side and the sword falling out unless you hold it. despite these flaws, its a great sword for anyone! thanx BUDK!!!
