Follow Up: -3 for Durability

This is a follow up to my previous review 'Evil War Mallet'. I took the War Mallet with me to Burning Man and enjoyed carrying it around while dressed as a Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome Apocalyptic Survivor (there were rules against guns, swords and spear but nothing agains Spiked Mallets). It served well as a prop. The problem came when I decided to help friends stake down their shelters. Hitting PLASTIC camp stakes the Mallet quickly tore itself apart. First the spikes flew off. Then the metal cages. Then a piece of the shaft where it meets the head chipped, and finally the shaft broke. I took a picture and burned the pieces. In summary: good against anything SOFT: melons, plastic jigs, leather seats, but FAILED against 10 inch plastic camps stakes. Ah well, I got my money's worth since BUDK has great prices, nevertheless disappointing.

Evil War Mallet

This was one of the first items I purchased from BUDK. Shipping was as promised in a well padded and secured box. Item was in very good shape when received. Pros: Comes fully assembled Solidly Constructed and Durable when used Cons: Non I was looking for an accessory to a Deadpool cosplay and really wanted to get a Circus Style Mallet, however shipping on one of those was prohibitive. When I stumbled upon this one on an Internet Search I took the plunge. This thing is EVIL. I was thinking that if it was shipped in pieces I'd forgo the metal parts, but to my chagrin it was completely and solidly assembled. I couldn't take the spikes out with pliers, a vice grip or harsh words. I made the mistake of placing it in the backseat of my car without the box and the spikes tore into the leather upholstery JUST FROM SETTING IT DOWN. I ended up NOT using this in my cosplay as it didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of passing security. It sits behind my front door to brandish while speaking with Jehovah's Witnesses.

I wasn't certain what to expect when I ordered this beast but when it arrived I was impressed. It is a heavy solid monster that does evil and vicious things to the watermelon I tried it out on. I love this weapon... I love it so much I plan on getting another one

Medieval War Club Woven With Spikes

I'm not saying that I'd use this war hammer in actual war but it is one impressive and frightening looking weapon. The spikes are sharp and it has nice weight to it.

This thing kicks butt and takes names. The spikes are definitely sharp and it can destroy like there's no tomorrow. Great for ornamental, recreation, and more. Only downside is finding a place to put it without puncturing the walls or floors. A must have for a weapons enthusiast.

Croquet in H**l

This thing is like a croquet mallet from h**l! It's hefty and the spikes are really sharply pointed, the only downside is the head of the mace looks like its supper glued onto the handle, whether it is or not I don't know for sure, but anyone planning to actually try hitting anything with this should be careful.

Maybe it's just me but I expected the whole thing to be a lot bigger and a bit thicker. The spikes are surprisingly sharp and the hammer over all has a light weight.
