They are very dull, the sheath fell apart and they poked out and stabbed me. The large 4 sided one won't stick into anything. Definitely worth that price
Ok, I've submitted a couple reviews and for some reason, they never stay put, so this is my last attempt. The pouch is a bit too small for the 6-pointed star, which scratched my hand because one of the tips pokes through the edge of the pouch. Because of this, I just left pouch in the box since it has a hole where the shuriken pokes through. The 4 pointed squarish shurken is quite a bit smaller and thicker than the others. It's not sharpened very well so it's always more difficult to make it stick compared to the others, which are thinner and have more steeply angled points. At 5 - 8 feet, it's quite a struggle to throw the small one hard enough to stick without a wild pitch putting a hole in a wall. I recommend standing 10 - 15 feet back to allow enough acceleration and momentum to build, and it will be much easier to sufficiently pierce your targets. They're really fun to throw and shuriken flying through the air and making a snapping sound as they sink into corrugated cardboard is always satisfying. I really want some larger stars, though, b/c I'm afraid if I throw one of these outside where my walls will be safe, I may lose one in the grass. Because they're so much fun, and bring back childhood memories, I won't deduct a star for the very small, not well sharpened square shuriken, and the pouch that's too small for the 6-pointed one.
True Swords FAN with an honest review of these items. These pieces look really nice! If you are expecting big and impressive shuriken for this price, you will be disappointed. They are more like either display pieces or for practice at honing your throwing technique. Small in size but really sharp tips make it easy to handle these and make precise strikes. They stick flawlessly in my modified dart board (metal rings removed) and in drywall as well (yeah, I miss every once in a while). I wouldn't suggest dropping them onto concrete though as the tips would probably bend fairly easily. I would like to see TS pick up a line of good high quality shuriken of the more classic variety. I think I will be trying out the "Cold Steel" ones they have soon as I believe those are larger in size and closer to what I would consider a true battle ready shuriken. Overall god buy for the price and purpose!
great buy. They are really sharp and I had no problems getting to stick from the start.
These ninja stars are very sharp and stick to the target nearly every time. only problem i had was fitting the five pointed star back into the pouch. Great buy!
these stars are small, but you get what you pay for. the six point and the one with no hole are my favorite cause they stick almost every time the other two bent right as i threw them the first 4 times. overall not bad
these are a joke!! too small to throw, to small to do anything with, not much bigger than a 50 cent peace. VERY disappointed!!
I admit i was expecting something bigger. However they are very sharp and stick every time. My son has pretty much taken them away from me. He had rather throw them than his throwing knives.
Great Product Razor Sharp edges Well Built
i ordered these thought i give them a try. Man was i disappointed when i seen just how small and lightweight these stars are! they are sharp, that is it, i mean all these are good for it to look at, they are not really functional as a target thrower at all. order something better if you want to practice on a target board!!!
The good: These stars are razor sharp. They'll stick in just about anything. Very fun to throw! The bad: My very first reaction when I took them out of the box was that they were smaller than I expected. These aren't durable stars at all. The carrying pouch is worthless. It takes about 30 seconds to put each star inside (No mobility). One of the stars doesn't even fit inside.. Overall these stars are a lot of fun to throw, but when you pay 6$ don't expect to get to much quality.
Cheap metal, the points have broken off all but the one that didn't have the hole in the middle.
These are great. I am a beginner and just got into knife throwing and figured I would give stars a try too. I am 100% beginner and I can get them to stick almost every time. They are also very accurate. The only problem I have is I can never get them to fit in the case exactly the same. Sometimes I cant get the points to fit in exactly. but other than that they are pretty good for the price.
These throwing stars are good for the price, but there are two problems. One is that the tips of the double bladed stars bend and brake and two is that the four sided star is harder to stick. But these are minor problems and they are still good stars.
These stars are very sharp in the packaging. They practicly stick to anything. This item is an excellent deal for how good the quality is.Besides how good they are the pouch they come in is not as good.
Stick every time I throw,I throw them at a wood plank and they stick all the time
I have trained with various sized shurikens over the years and tried these. They are fairly small and light. Depending on the technique used to throw them depends on the range of these little guys. 20-30 feet isn't a bad range and they normally stick in our pywood targets we use during training. The price allows you to afford a a nice amount of shuriken for less than 2 movie tickets. And if you do lose one...replacements are affordable.
wow these are very good stars but only one complaint there very small and can be lost very easy and the 4 point is hard to get for beginners but i love all the other ones i ordered these with the chopper stars(there much better.) but still i love these great buy.
love these throwing stars and just as matt said they stick every time even the square one stuck for me the only problem i had was that the ones with two prong things is that they would get bent which made it harder to stick them.still loved these stars
3 out of 4 stick EVERY time and im no good at throwing stars lol. The square star(Bottom left on pic) will not stick.. Even just the 3 for 6$ is a good deal to me still. So worth it!!!
