I got this item today and it is a lot nicer than I was expecting! The baton has a tight lock and a very firm feel. The handle is completelt covered in rubber and the diamond plate design makes gripping very easy. You just can't beat the quality of this baton and case for the price. Great Deal!!!

The guy that said he managed to bend this is obviously has no clue what hes talking about. This has a very solid construction and once it is extended you're supposed to hit concrete or some other hard surface with the tip to be able to make it retract. This should be used as a self defense item and not something you whip out to screw around. Because of that it is meant to stay open once you open it and not be able to be easily put back in.

I honestly don't know what that last person who reviewed this was talking about. Maybe he got a faulty product. Either way, all I know is that mine is perfect. The weight and balance are good, it's nice and sturdy, strong, and easy to extend. The only thing I have trouble with is retracting it. I have to shake it quite a bit to get it back in, but I guess that's sort of a good thing. That way, you know it won't go collapsing on you when you need it.<br /><br />Overall, I give this product a 5/5. Good, strong, and practical. Thank you True Swords.

very solid-this thing is a bone breaker simple with no care required but to close it I need to hammer at it on a cement floor (kind of a pain) but for twenty bucks its well worth it

This is a great baton!!! it has a very strong and firm feel about it. can do serious damage to whatever you strike with it. only downside i see with it, which is why i didn't give it 5 stars, was the fact that sometimes if you snap it open to fast or to hard, it can be a little tricky getting it to colapes back down. striking it on a hard floor usually will work though.

I ordered these in a pair of two and one came all rusted and the second one broke when i extended throwing the firsts part out overall a crappy product

poor quality falls apart for the couple extra dollars get the night watchman ones way better
