  • Non-reflective anodized black coating
  • M.A.G.I.C. assisted-opening mechanism
  • Impact-resistant aluminum handle
  • Ambidextrous thumb stud & finger actuator

Each 4034 stainless steel blade is teflon-coated and features the ultra-fast M.A.G.I.C. assisted-open mechanism which can be activated by the ambidextrous thumb stud or the finger actuator on the back of the blade. Once activated the blade springs open at a phenomenal speed.

A blade safety switch ensures no accidental opens and a liner lock ensures the blade doesn't accidentally close while in use. 3.4 in. blade, 7.7 in. overall, 4 3/10 in. closed.

How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

Amazing Knife Reviewed by dani decker on Apr 19, 2016   5 out of 5

This is one of my favorite knives. After about a year of use, there is only minor scratches. Highly recommended to anybody looking for a good EDC Knife.

It came nice and sharp but it couldn't hold an edge to well at all, but it was easily sharpened. The handle felt really nice in my hand. The flipper trigger was really hairy and would flip open if you even touched it. The lock on it comes in handy. all in all it's a nice knife for the price.

Impressed Again Reviewed by Cody Mullen on Sep 03, 2015   5 out of 5

Budk impresses me nonstop, I got my packge earlier than UPS estimated. This knife is my new EDC, I was counting down the days where I could retire my old one, and this S&W made me happier than a fat kid in a candy store. The handle feels perfect, the lock is convenient, and the trigger is softer than pushing a button on an automatic.. Has some good weight to it, I like that. Only thing I have left to say about this is: buy it.
