Remember when any knife we'd buy would have the blade wiggle around? Well this knife is proof of on-going improvements. Tried one out and ordered some more for the rest of the family. It goes along with my favorites and holds its own. Worth every penny.

What a great knife! fits my hand like a glove. Opens like a dream. Sharpest knife I have, and coolest looking. This thing will literally shave like a razor! And it has a beer bottle opener! Worth triple the price!

Every review before this has been a five star review, with good reason. The knife really is sharp looking and striking. It's got a nice heft and for the most part feels very solid. Unfortunately, there's a simple truth to folding, lockback knives; over time and wear, they fail. And as we all know, the more complex the device, the more likely something is to go wrong. So I gave this Mtech folder a torture test and, it wasn't long before what appeared to be a great little assisted opener showed its' weak point. Over a time period of roughly a month and a half, opening to and closing the blade from lockout less than 1000 times (maybe even less than half that...didn't keep track); first the locking mechanism became sticky and hard to push aside to close again. Then the assisted opening device failed completely. In summary, a great looking knife that has reliability issues. All these five star reviews are correct; it's very cool and looks great. But a knife you can't rely on is an impractical object and there's no room in my toolbox for impractical objects.
