Awesome sword! One was given to me without the Strap or the hand grip so I weaved strong rope through it to make a handle. Now I have an awesome sword with rope that I can use for many different things, related or non-related to the weapon. For example: I could use the rope to tie it tight to a pole and make a spear, great for fishing. For the price, can't beat it!

Well, I'm impressed. I just got this because it looked cool and had a low price tag. It has far exceeded my expectations. the blade is very solid and fairly sharp at the end. it feels much more natural to wield than I thought it would. you get all of the control of a sword but with better power. it is also pretty decent for defending as well. like others mentioned, it was a bit of a pain to assemble, but once I got it together it was awesome. for $14 you can't go wrong here.

Beautiful weapon. sharpen the heck outta it and i can stick it into a tree about 2 inches. Velcro strap is crap recommend getting a leather strap custom made.

I ordered this in a pair (what other way is there to order these? :P) putting them together the one gave me abit of trouble the other didn't which was fine. I haven't tried the sheaths so i can't really say much. They are durable and came very sharp, They also double for throwing weapons (like a spear). if the zombie invasion ever comes these will be strapped to my arms thanks again true swords, you've never failed me!

i've had much experiance in purchasing blades like this and i like to do my research before i buy and this is definitly the cheapest i've found in combination with shipping. this is one of the best blades i've purchased of the dozen or so i own. it surprised me how sturdy it was and although it did need assembling, its quite easy with a rubber mallet/hammer and the provided wrench. both the handle and the arm guard are very sturdy and very comfortable. it came semi-sharpened but will be quite sharp once i use my stone on it. i always hear how crappy the sheaths are for blades like this, but this one was fairly decent. it slides in and out fairly easily, though it gets held up sometimes at the very last part of the blade. <br /><br />the only problems i had were that i had to shorten the strap for my arm (simple sewing) and whenever it came, the plastic was stuck to the blade and left residue behind, both can be easily fixed though. i would recommend this to anyone. great blade, great buy.

After assembly...it was great. The handle is solid, but whats with the part for the strap. The strap itself is fine (note to last reviewer) its just that the holder for your arm is kinda...movable i guess. Its thin so it can bend and flex but that might be for comfort and to keep it from breaking.Nice and solid although not very sharp not even the tip. Despite that I managed to cut the crease in my palm, was tapping it on my hand and somehow it caught my hand and went in. Not deep but uncomfortable because of location. I personally could use a smaller strap though, the current strap is fine but a smaller one would let it be tighter. Overall I am happy with this.

A very sturdy feeling weapon. It definitely looks amazing and the picture just doesn't give the same feeling as actually holding it.<br /><br />I was surprised when I had to actually assemble the arm blade, but it wasn't hard. Just had to screw on the handle and the arm strap. I suppose if I had read some reviews first, I would have know before hand. Haha.<br /><br />It is a great item. Thank you True Swords, for supplying it and having such wonderful customer service.

I love this thing...assembly was rather difficult, but it's explained in other reveiws. It dosen't come very sharp, but it's easily sharpened. Make sure if you buy this, that you get two. I only got one, and regretted it. :(<br /><br />5/5

Got this blade not too long ago and I’m loving it! I was a little concerned that it wouldn't fit since my arms are slim, but it fits just right. The assembly is a little difficult, but doable. Once you’ve got it together and try it on, you don’t want to take it off! Thanx True Swords!!!

Magnificent piece! This is definitely in my top favorites. I ordered two so i could have one for each arm. They are vicious when you put them on, and it makes me feel like I can do anything. These surely represent power to me. Great sheaths and don't sweat the minor assembly, its a piece of cake. Thank You TrueSwords.

Have NO idea who or what Bloodrayne is. But when I first saw these [I bought two] I thought "make a sword" kit. That is what I intend to do--"create" my own shortsword.<br />I didn't even consider putting them together as pictured since I have problems seeing that form as an effective weapon.<br />Truly one would have to be preter-human or superhuman to use them as designed. A well guided slash to the handle and youd be missing at least three fingers. And though the Fillipino martial arts did have a style that used two pieces of wood tied to the arms--I doubt most "modern" users would have the dedication to effectively use the "fantasy" form of the blade.<br />However with all the holes and cutouts on the sword body it is perfect for DIY. It will be months before I get the tools and find the metal pieces needed to make these a sort of thin butterfly/cudgel shortsword. It will be ugly but I believe effective.<br />Now the metal of these are not up to battlefield specs--at least not with me wielding them. It would take a real swordsman to stand these against real steel.<br />But I was surprised at their resistance to bending when set across an armchair and pressed down in the middle. From about an inch and 1/2 they came back into true. About all you could ask of this price blade.<br />I also--because these are "cheap" blades--struck it against an old stained and beaten hardwood endtable--To see if the blade would be affected. I didn't use much force and was surprised that blade had no damage but with light slash had bitten into the wood about 1/4 inch.<br />Even at higher price these would be a deal. I just ask that Trueswords puts out a real "make a sword" kit with different style blade/guard/pommel selection. And maybe an after-market "dressup" kit to make your creation really personal.<br />I am going to be a repeat customer. As proof see my reviews of Spartan sword and swordcane.<br />Thanx-hope this helps.

SO COOL. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 is that it's a pain in the arse to put together. My finished one was missing two screws.... Once you get it put together, it's amazing. It's a very stab-oriented blade, as it comes very pointy and not all that sharp... this is easily fixed with a sharpener if you have more of a slashing fighting style.

the blase itself is nice but the pins and screws were a pain since they didn't line up properly and had to be worked on for it to eventually go in, considering the price though its still a great buy though i will probably be reworking them a bit to have the forearm swection actaully fit my arms since the strap is about 4 inches to short to secure even at its longest part

This is a cool design. I almost wish I had bought two of them. What drew me to this design, having never seen the Bloodrayne movie, was that it could be used to block attacks from inbound weapons. There are some decent grooves in the forearm section that could prevent an inbound blade from sliding down and slashing your elbow off. Of course this was probably intended as a novelty...blah, blah, blah...don't really use it in a fight...all that good stuff. There was some assembly required. There are no instructions, but if you can line up seven holes and put a screw in a threaded receiver you can handle it. Not everything was drilled perfect so I ran a drill through on one of the holes. If you can handle a blade hopefully you can handle a drill. One piece that a screw threads into was missing, but I do not believe it was a big deal so I am not going to count it against them. There are plenty of other screws holding this together. If you are getting one of these, get yourself a tube of loctite and put a small drop on the threads of all the screws. I say this, not because of the design, but because I have built many weapons (mostly firearms) and I can tell you that even the vibration of sitting in your car for a few days can loosen up the tightest screw. I am only giving this four stars for one reason...The strap that goes around your forearm is so short if you try to attach both ends to the velcro. I am a former Police Officer and I am also an Army Veteran. I do not have small forearms. I am going to sew one end of the strap in place so that it is affixed permenantly, thus giving a little more slack for the other end to use the velcro. All and all, this is not a bad blade for $14 and TrueSwords has the best customer service I have seen in quite some time. If the arm strap were about three inches longer I would have given it five stars.

Good Weapon. Not very sharp, but I took care of that. I prefer to use it without the arm strap and arm brace. That way I can use it like a Tonfa Baton.

I was excited to see that my sword had came in but during assembly I realized the pieces to connect the forearm pieces to the metal (screws and threaded pieces) were a little messed up. I was sent 6 threaded pieces and 8 screws whenever I was suppose to receive 7 of each. Not only was the count off of the pieces but two of the threaded pieces were messed up. One was bent and too short while the other was only too short. besides that not bad of a sword needs sharpened when you receive it but that's expected.
