Every Hand-and-a-Half Sword reflects the highest standards in workmanship and materials. For a sword of this size, it’s amazingly light and fast and tips the scales at approximately 3 lbs. Its 33 1/2" long blade is quite wide so it can produce deep shearing type cuts. To balance the long blade we have capped the butt with a beautiful scent stopper pommel which can be a lethal weapon in its own right. 33 1/2" blade, 42 5/8" overall

A Solid, Functional Sword Reviewed by Christopher Thompson on Oct 26, 2015   4 out of 5

I have quite a number of high carbon steel swords from sources in Great Britain and Europe that were forged for me during my travels. Cold Steel provides an unassuming excellent, practice sword with proper weighting, balance, flexibility. Workmanship is above average due to mass production, but certainly a fair price for what it has to offer. Pay attention to the guard as it may have to be tightened.

Great good looking sword for the price! Only issues with mine are a very slight rattle between the blade and the hilt and the metal accent on the top of the scabbard comes right off as if it were never attached. Shipped Monday and arrived on schedule Thursday afternoon. Would happily recommend this sword to others :)

FedEx just dropped my Cold Steel Hand-and-a-Half Sword off. Everything was in order, sword was double-boxed and bubble wrapped. Sword looks just like the photos, very nice finish. Kind of plain, but I like that. Gives a real impression of being all-business, no-nonsense killer. Some have commented that the handle is not very thick, making it a little uncomfortable. I don't find it so, but then I'm not an especially big guy (5'9'') so maybe if you're 6'3'' you might want something beefier. I was a little surprised to see no makers mark anywhere, nothing identifying it as a Cold Steel product. Overall, definitly worth the money. I should add, that even though the sword was lited as out-of-stock, True Swords was able to special-order and get it to me in about 2 weeks. Excellent service!

Its nice but the handle is a little uncomfortable as its not very thick but it is wide. If it wasn't for that id give it 5 stars.

A really sharp and sturdy sword. The blade is a lot more shiny than it appears in the photo. The only problem i had was the handle grip had a small tear. Really not noticable but could become worse if i pick at it. All in all a great sword for the price :)

This sword is definitley a work of art, and very functional too. At $229.99, this sword is too good of an offer to pass up.

This is a wonderful sword. The scabbard is really nice too especially for keeping everything safe from the incredibly sharp blade. The best part about this sword is the stuff it can withstand. I recently saw a demonstration DVD on what the company that makes this sword (Cold Steel) do to prove the strength and power of thier weapons. I reccomend all Cold Steel products to potential customers because I myself will settle for nothing less.
