I bought this same sword a few years back for around $12. After sharpening blade a bit more, I used it to cut down tall weeds and oak saplings, good workout and kind of fun doing that and releasing my “inner samurai!” LOL!

Great value for the money. Exceeded my expectations considering the $12 it cost. Good for a realistic costume or display.

Shipping was very fast! When I got this sword I figured for a $10 sword, it wouldn't be to extravigant. However I think this sword is great! Its not sharpened nor is the sheath the best. For $10 though, I would say its a steal.

For the price it is very good! Sturdy handle, Thick blade, wooden sheath, I like this back strap it keeps the sword acualy ON YOUR BACK!!! unlike some other sword straps... and you can adjust it by moving the strap up and down the sheath. It comes dull, not a shock since this was orginaly made to be a practice katana (something not said in the info). It is pretty simple to sharpen and is made of good steel. This is my third buy from trueswords and all have turned out very good! and remember every time you buy something you get a differnt poster! And in the picture the sheath is upside down... No complains here 5 out of 5!!! :DDDD

GO ON YOUTUBE AND TYPE IN INFOMERCIAL GONE WRONG!!!!!!!! ITS THE VIDEO WITH THIS VERY SWORD!! ITS FUNNY. Pretty flippin cool sword. The reason being is 10 dollars. For that price...its unbeilevably durable. i baught this in early september and still have it. HOWEVER, haha the handle cloth gets torn off if you use it. Swing this sword around a few times and its fine. but if you hit somthing hard, the blade will move around or break!

This sword is amazing for the price. it looks great, the sheath fits, and the balance is excellent. The only thing that I have against it is that it isn't too sharp. But for $10, it can't be beat.

For under $10, the "Red Sun" ninja sword is an amazing buy. Well worth the money. This is the very first blade of any type I have purchased online or otherwise. I look forward to my next purchase. I have told my wife that I want the Emerald 3 Piece Katana set for Christmas.

I got a laugh when I saw that shipping the sword to me would cost more than the sword did itself. Once shipped, it took 5 days to reach me. However, I believe that this is due to the fact that I live in California.

Keep in mind that this sword is for display only as it's blade is very soft & bends rather easily. The sword also came dull. As everyone else has mentioned, the strap on the scabbard that comes with it is not very strong. I advise that it should be used to hang the sword on the wall & nothing else.

I plan to do all my future blade purchasing through True Swords.

-Jeff

This sword surpassed my expectations. I didnt expect much when considering the price., but it was well worth it! the blade is really sharp and well balanced as well. except for small amount of wood showing at the bottom of the handle and the "made in pakistan" engraving is was perfect. expect a lot more business from me in the near future!

I am amazed with this product. For how inexpensive it was, and the quality of how little money i spent got me. I have already bought the iron reaver claw and I figured it was time to work on the ninja gear. I think i want to get the 4 piece buster sword next. I will always be giving good reviews for this site.

I bought one some years ago when it was in stock. The quality was excellent and it took quite a bit of abuse before breaking. The wood handle is drilled out, so eventually it cracked right through eventually on a heavy impact although the blade was fine and it was repairable. It stood up to almost everything, and only finally broke when i had a friend throwing frisbees to me to slice in half, then he threw a massive plastic garbage can which it did cut through but the force of the swing broke the wood

I bought this sword as a wall hanging, but was impressed by the appearance of the blade. The blade is straight as can be with a nice finish. With a little sharpening, this blade could serve double duty as an impressive home defense weapon. What kind of an intruder charges you when you are holding this sword? Very happy with it. Unbeatable price. Recommended.

I bought this for my son. The sword itself is great, though the tsuba broke and now wobbles. A great starter weapon. The saya wasn't too great.

just came in. havent had a full chance to test it out yet but so far so good. like everyone says the back strap isnt all that good but i can customize it. its hard to un sheath it due to the legnth of the sword if its behind your back. it feels a little wobbly depending on how i swing it but for ten bucks id say it was worth the payment. cant wait to fully try it out

This was my first sword i got from true swords and i have to say it was very good the only thing was that the gueard was very wobbily and shifted often and the strapslipped oftenly even though it still is a great swrd and handles weel. And has a classic wooden handle feel.

Over all a good sword, leaning more toward display rather than using. blade was quite sharp. the linen strings at the end should not be tampered with unless you want it to fall off and it is very hard to get them back on the way they were. if its for display, i recommend it.

This is my first purchase from this site and it was worth every cent. It's great for the price and the only thing wrong was a few scratches on the lower side of the blade. Great Buy!

It is a pretty cool sword. The blade however was not anywhere close to "tree-splitting sharp". The actual cutting part of the blade was thicker than a butter knife blade. About the only thing this sword could cut would be butter. Other than my disappointment with the blade, it is a cool sword to have around for fun.

Well you get what you paid for. The sheath is two pieces of wood glued together. When i got it the sword wasnt exactly that sharp. Th handle became loose after playing around with it. I also had to sand down the part that said Made in pakistan. But for it price its worth to just play around with.

my order just came in today so here are some pros and cons
PROS: very sturdy, thick blade, nice weight
CONS: came VERY VERY dull, sword was WAY to big for saya, back strap is tiny guard is very pointy and cut my arm

although the saya was to small a was able to construct a makeshift sheath out of cardboard and duct tape
over all i give it a 3.5 out of 5

i have had this sword for about two months now and i am honestly not impressed. to start the first thing wrong with it is that the tendrils fall off instantly, this is not to much of a problem. Second the blade is loose and wobbly and feels like it could break very easily. the sheath is a cheap particle board wrapped in elastic material. the handle is very loosely placed and the blade is very dull. The blade on mine bent easily without to much pressure but it was easily bent back. It does keep its dull edge though and does not get duller. It is pretty much impossible to get the sword out of its sheath while it is on your back but works well if you wrap the strap around the top and run your belt through it. Overall it is worth $10 for what it is.

Well this was one of my first purchases from TrueSwords. I am a collector on a budget, so this sword was great for me. However, the blade is not very sturdy in the handle and it moves around a lot when used, but it is a great showpiece.

Do NOT get this. feels like the non-full tang blade is gonna fly right out of the crappy handle. had to super-glue the wrapping on the handle and saya back on because they kept unwrapping.

This sword came in horrid condition, the handle was loose and cracked, the sheath was made from plywood, and scratched the h*ll outta the blade, the metal was either corroded or rusted, and the blade was not stainless steel, it was cheap aluminium. not happy with the sword
