Its a very amazing sword, at the same time i got this my friend got the 50 dolor knight bastard sword and challenged me, i droke the fo dolor in 1 sice, so i concur that this is the best sword (for true swordsman only) the better you train and more calulated the swing the less chance of breaking it you have and more chance of cutting through tthe oponents choice weapon! PS. i never sharpened it ;)

First of all, the shipping time was spectacular as the sword came the day after I ordered it, but I do live in Georgia which is the same state as the main center for True Swords.

I am going to go from the grip of the sword down. The tassel on the end of the grip was detached when I got the sword but that was easily fixed with a simple knot. The wrapping on the grip did not slip at all. The grip was not long enough to hold with two hands but I think it's a one handed sword anyway. The hand-guard was slightly smallish, very shiny and gold colored, and was sharp at the edges. Finally, the blade. It was slightly bent and dull, but I had to look very close to notice the bend. Also, the edge felt like it could be sharpened and was probably shipped dull on purpose so people don't cut themselves tearing the sword out of the box. Great starter sword to slice up cans or cardboard and learn proper sword care and maintenance with. Once I get the feel of a sword and how to take care of one, I plan on ordering a practical musashi to unleash my inner swordsman's spirit lol. Lastly, I give props to True Swords for the super fast ship time and the only sword this decent for $10 Sayounara.

This is a most excellent weapon, especially for the price. not only does it stand up to actual blade-to-blade contact well, it's nice to look at, too.
It's a pretty sturdy blade. The sheath isn't much to talk about, but that's ok, because the blade makes up for it's scabbard's less-than-stellar specifications. I'd definitely recommend this one to anyone who wants to buy a sword to get started.

These swords are amazing. Honestly they are NOT the sharpest you could find on trueswords, but still they are worth ten dollars each. I actually got to (To dual wield) and was astonished by how lite they were, and how easily I could duel wield them. I would go for this sword if it is one of your first swords, and if not I would still go for it. Either Way you are going to have fun with these things.

This is my first sword from trueswords but most definately not my last, it wasnt exactly what i expected, but overall really cool, it has perfect weight: heavy but not awkward.
Its unsharpened so this is the perfect sword for young enthusiasts like me (13+ yrs), its in my lap right now and i cant keep me hands off it, its really awesome, sleek, and dangerously beautiful
Way to go TrueSwords! =]
~Zuzu

It was awesome, just like in the picture. The only issues is the guard is kind of sharp (odd) and the strap broke really easily (tossed the strap pieces, wont need it anyway). All in all, awesome sword, perfect weight, not sharp, but easily fixed (might've just been my sword).

Definitely a steal. I ordered a few of them to give as presents and all 3 were sharp. One fo the three's scabbard was too short, so it sticks out a bit at the bottom, but I was VERY satisfied.

This sword is great, especially for the money. I was a little leery of buying it, due to mixed reviews, but the one I got was fantastic. Well worth double what I paid, the price is unbeatable. Good quality blade, functional sheathe, but the strap that came with it was a joke. The tassel on the end is pretty nice, and of a higher quality than I feared. Overall the sword is durable, and of solid construction. I'd recommend this blade to anyone, the price alone makes it worthwhile. Thank you, True Swords!

GREAT!!!!! My first sword from True Swords. It's awesome. It's sort of sharp, but not very. Firm grip, and great sword. The price is unbelievable, almost no errors. The only thing is that when it arrived it was slitely bent, and I can't make it straight. But great, truly unbelievable. A deffinate MUST BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent for the price of $9.79. The blade is heavy and not meant for actual combat. A great sword for begginers and one of my first swords bought in this store. It's not severly sharp, I was able to sharpen it with sand paper though and if you don't smash it a lot itt should last a good long time. Shipping was fast considering the distance between my state and Trueswords and transaction was smooth no problems at all.

For $9.79 it makes a great B-Day gift. My friend flipped when they unwraped it. The US needs to make a law that lets you walk around with your sword all day. Thanks True Swords!

(this is in my mom's name)this is a very great sword.its moderatly sharp,a good weight, and its very nice to look at.the scabbard a little bog for the blade though.and be careful with the backstrap as the loops snap apart easily...overall a good buy.

Very nice sword. I love how the weight is equal and feels very realistic. Definatly not dull at all but not super sharp...just perfect for me. Comes with a great sheath that goes on your back it's very cool and stylish. (I'm wearing it right now.) 100% all around great starting sword, and for the steal price it's a must have sword!!

I give it an over all four. not my first buy from trueswords, and an exellent peice, but I have just a few complaints. the wraps on the handles slide really and tend to bunch up at the top and bottom, either making you have a very loose grip, or right up against the handguard with it's sharp points. they will cut you so heads up. and my second complaint is the back strap is a bit weak I had put it on and I bumped something and the loop that holds the top of the scabbard had snapped. it's a small piece so it's hard to sew and reattach. that and the strap small to begin with

today i got the black ninja death sword and the verdict is its pretty cool it was thicker the i imagined and the sheath was tougher then i first thought. it feels realy stable and strong

cons:the strap was horable i broke it first day. the little tasle on the end came off (small detail i don't hold that agenced true swords i hated the thing any way) but the worst was the blade was scratched like a lot all down the blade. the wood shows a little and it is not vary sharp

verdict:great first blade the strap and scratches are easy to over look and for ten dollars i should not expect more

very nice sturdy construction but the nylon over the handle tends to move around exposing the wooden hilt

For those of you considering purchasing this weapon I say go for it.
Don't let the low price fool you. I purchased it and was pleasantly surprised. The construction is solid and t has a good weight to it. My only dislike is it's not sharp enough. But for the asking price it's not a big deal.

Had the sword a few days now. It’s a good blade but the handle wiggles a lot. It is good price for your fist sword. It’s a bit in the heavy side and its not balanced at all. Over all it’s a good sword for the price.

This was the first sword I've ever purchased from True Sword. It's very light and the tip is extremely sharp.

The blade isn't very sharp, but a sharpener could fix that. Also the handle was torn a bit. Great sword overall. Definitely worth $10.

the sword was great! it came sharp, its super lite. the only thing i didnt like about it was the handle. the cloth around it was a little ripped. but i can fix that. this is a must have sword!!

Overall, this sword is a good buy. For ten dollars, I would definatly reccomend this blade, but wouldn't pay more than that to purchase it. It is mildly durable, and feels like the right weight to be a good katana.

its a great sword! took awhile to arrive but i was just surprised when it came, its much heavier than it looks. the blade is dull but im sure you can sharpen it. the blade was a little loose too but over all its a good buy!

Just got it today. The sword was in pretty nice condition along with the scabbard, although I wont be able to do anything with the sword. The blade is very loose inside of the hilt and I can turn the blade about 45 degrees left and right. You get what you pay for I guess.

Pros: Looks convincing enough as a sword, the sword didn't have any scratches out of the box.
Cons: The blades are overall shitty, cheap stainless steel meta,l the metal is cut as easily as butter, the tsuba is shitty and not centered, and after banging the swords around the swords rattle around in the handle

Check out our video review of this sword on youtube!
Please comment and subscribe if you find it useful!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kykKALn2bss
