True Swords Fan here ... having made 3 orders in the last month!! An honest review of this item. ITEM # 46 BK2662 BATTLE READY CYBORG NINJA SWORD FULL TANG It arrived with 1 of my 2 recent orders. Its a really nice looking sword that could double for a real kick ass longer version of a machete! Very cool design, nice painted on inner blade black coloring, good tight nylon cord wrappings and full tang! Feels good and balanced with just a slight hint of forward increased weight due to the blade thickness, which is a good solid grade of steel. It feels real good and solid! Only cons are that the blade was not what I would call "Battle Ready" due its lack of sharpness as it was rather dull. Setting up a cardboard pillar which I test all my blades, it merely just bent the cardboard instead of slicing cleanly through it like others. It did knock the hell out of it though letting me know its power! With some sharpening..... NICE!! Second con... Having just the wrappings on the full tang made it become slightly uncomfortable after several minutes of getting a feel for how it handles. Overall I am pleased with the item because I can always sharpen the blade as well as do minor modifications for comfort. I would pick one of these unique swords up!

Its a great sword Ill tell you the down sides, well first is its hard to put back in the sheath because the sheath isn't solid it might hit the sheath and get alittle stuck but its easy to pull out, there is oil on the sword too when you first get it but thats normal and comes off eazy, personaly I don't like how it says made in china well it just says china but still if it said like japan, usa, or if it wasn't made in a asemably line. but thats just me, so its a good sword its not sharp but you can fix that, only 4 tiny tiny scratches near the handle when i got it its strong good looking and my fav of all my sword coletions.

This is an awesome sword. Full tang, light weight and looks scary. The sheath is a bit thin but easy to reinforce. The nylon cord around the handle was a bit loose so I took it off, wrapped leather around the handle and put the cord back on, it feels much more secure and comfortable.

Unbeatable price, great sword, I absolutely recommend adding one or two to your collection.

I am really impressed with this sword! It has an extremely solid feel to it, and just the right amount of weight. Don't let the inexpensive price fool you, it's cut from a single piece of solid steel, and I guess the simple manufacturing process is why they're able to offer it at such a low price. As an added bonus, this also means it's a "full tang" sword, and fully functional. Also, It arrived a lot sharper than I expected it to.

The sheath it comes with also seems well made, it's nylon and has two adjustable straps and has a nice texture to it, although it probably could use a bit more rigidity. Definitely not a deal-killer. Overall a very good product, especially at the price I paid for it.

Shipping was exceptional, considering I placed my order right before the weekend. Sword got here bright and early Tuesday morning. I am quite impressed by the size of the piece as well as it's surprising difficulty to wield. At a glance, it looks very light and nimble, but this is a heavy and very solid blade. Do not underestimate it. I'm sure I will love this piece for years to come. Especially if there is a zombie apocalypse. LOL.

In all seriousness, however... this was my first purchase from trueswords.com and it's certain not to be my last. I'm completely satisfied. 5 stars.

This is an awesome chunk of stainless steel. I did not like the wrapped handle, so took my grinder to the projection on the blade side and cut it flush to the edge. Ground and fitted a nice round piece of stainless scrap to make a tsuba and secured it with some JB Weld. Slid on a couple of those bicycle grips that are fit to the hand, and cut a 3/4 inch stainless bar lengthwise to jamb between the inside of the grips and the blade to hold everything tight. I left the cool angled section with the three holes and extra cord as a window breaker.

Now THIS is a zombie killer! With the extra length of the handle, and the half sections of steel, this sword balances about two inches in front of the tsuba, just where I like it.

This is not an elegant weapon. It is not light and fast. But it is unstoppable once it gets started in a reasonable swing. It sliced right through the fat end of a Louisville Slugger when my friend swung it at me.

Oh yeah. The back sheath. I did a little work on that too. It fit OK and was nicely adjustable, but the tanto point soon ate through the material. Seeing as how the blade is stainless, and I had some 1/16 inch stainless scrap laying around, I made a matching shape and super glued it right to the fabric. My 'kojiri' is about six inches up the saya, and is doing the job very well.

For under thirty bucks, and a half days work, I have a thing of beauty for after the Last Days. Thanks for another fine product, True Swords!

I just got this fantastic weapon yesterday, along with some other things I ordered. Firstly tho, great shipping time, only took two days to get here. The blade itself is beautiful, it came un sharpened which is fine, thats what whetstones are for, which on conveintly came with the Buckmaster Knife I ordered. I love this sword beacuse it has the look, and feel of a Katana, but the weight, and power of a broadsword. Bravo Trueswords, I will be buying from you again.

This sword is kinda heavy, looks awesome, not very sharp. Once you sharpen it it's pretty good, not logical for speed attack

I got two of these to add to my collection. Overall I do like the swords. they have a nice balance and feel really good in your hands. The only thing that stops them from getting five stars is the fact that they have no edge on them at all and it is taking forever to get one on them. they do look great, but they could be sharpened. The way they come the only thing from the video that you can do with them when you get them is the stabbing. They will not cut anything. this drops on of the stars off of the overall, and I think that the video is very misleading and should probably be taken down or remade.

Mine arrived with a rather dull edge, like everyone else, but I do not mind sharpening my blades to the way I like it. The reason it lost a star is because this blade is not balanced with the handle. To try and balance it, I removed the extra cord at the bottom of the hilt and wrapped it around the upper part of the hilt with the same design as the cord already wrapped around it. I finished it off with a reefer knot and burned it together with a lighter. It helps with the balance a little bit, allowing me to have a larger grip, but doesn't make it perfect. Fortunately I will get used to its weight in time.

Nice weight and length. Came semi sharp but that is a easy fix. Handle would need some adjusting, the rope handle just isn't a good fit so will have to fashion a better handle for it. All in all very good for the price

this sword is amazing. its not sharp to the point of razor but if you ever have to pull it on someone it will definatly do the job. its a little hard to take it out of the sheath and i have pritty long arms other than that noproblem at all

Its probably been said before but the sheath of the blade could be better. Besides that, everything is awesome, with the exception of the rope around the handle. It feels as though it could have come tighter, but I think it'll be easy to adjust it.

Sheath is alright, definitely not necessary though. The handle is kind of crap, but I think maybe I'll replace it with some sort of leather wrap. When I first picked the sword up I felt like I could for sure do some damage with it, which I have and will continue to do for some time. The length makes it weigh a bit more than you'd expect though, so keep that in mind when you buy it. The sword deserves a 4 nonetheless. Well worth buying.

I just recieved this sword today. Amazingly fast shipping. The sword is good quality but the sheath is pretty flimsy. This sword weighs alot more than I was anticipating, very heavy sword! Overall a decent product.

so i have been a true swords customer for a while and ive gotten quite a few items and this was going to be the king of the pile but sadly this is the only item i have that isnt up to word or par with the other items of the collection :/ sadly it wasnt sharp bearly a point a bit bent and the black stripe down the sides is noticibly wonky besides that its a solid sword the groves ontop pretty sharp handle feels nice same as the waight of the sword but over all its good but could be alllllllllot better :/

Just got this sword today. For a $40 purchase (including shipping) it was a pretty good sword. I had a few issues/surprises. Heavier than I expected. Wider than expected from the back spine to the front edge. It came unsharpened, but I can fix that. The black down the middle and on the handle looks as if it can just chip off at any moment, but what else are you going to expect for such little money spent? The handle is uncomfortable to use because it is just thin rope and the sword is heavy, making the grip awkward so I will most likely be making my own more comfortable replacement for it. The sheath, as many have said before me, is complete crap. If i ever wanted to reach the sword in a tight situation it is just entirely inconvenient and awkward. Overall though the sword looks really cool, feels really bad ass in my your hands and the weight behind it makes this a pretty dangerous weapon. All together for the money you are spending it is definately a worthwhile purchase as a starter blade and after a little work, it will come together as a pretty sick sword. If I was going to suggest something to the maker of this sword it would be to make this exact same blade with a proper handle and sheath. It would make it far better. Thanks for the sword true swords you were great with cost and shipping time!
