I bought this ninjato 5 years ago, i have sharpened it since the blade wasn't super sharp. I have used it to chop the hedge by my house and cut boxes and bottles with it. I have given it a lot of heavy usage in this time. The blade bent one time but i was able to bring it back to its straight foundation. I was surprised the metal didn't snap., but it is quiet a thick blade. It has an incredible lasting quality for being stainless steel and at such a cheap price, when i originally bought it it was 30$, now is even cheaper. I wouldn't recommend attempting cutting really thick stuff but it is an absolute great buy for the price.

Great sword. If you are a wall hanger person, this is not for you. This is full tang, real ebony handle, the brass plated base is very nice, makes it look very stylish. Very lightweight, I measured it and it read 2 pounds, 7 ounces. I'm very impressed with it because it is not a wall hanger. Overall, worth my twenty dollars.

I gave it 5 stars because its alot of sword for under 20 bucks, what do want? its a nice thick piece of stainless at least a quarter in thick, its got a full tang handle big enough for two hands and the wood on the handle appears to be Ebony plus the knuckle guard is a nice sturdy piece of steel, it needs to be sharpened but all these swords do so get a course diamond file and a fine stone. I would buy another one of these, you just cant beat the price.

Real nice weight, came sharp, and real nice condition. Only problem is it is sometimes hard getting into the sheath but other than that this is a real nice quality blade.

Yo, the name is Strider, DIRK Strider. And I'm here today to tell you about this sword. This sword has been with me through thick and thin, I use it practically every single day. From choppin vegetables and s**t to cutting through the other sh***y katanas in the fridge. Man, this sword is SO TIGHT. I mean seriously, my little bro's swords cant even compare man, I mean, the little guy cant even beat Cal...and he's a motherf****n puppet yo. But really, this is the best sword, the thing cut through a D**N METEOR for f**ks sake. 5/5 hats.

My dad bought this sword for me when I was 13, and I used it every day for years hacking up trees and clearing out brush. I'm 25 now, and apart from a few tiny rust spots due to negligence on my end, this sword is still in perfectly usable condition. Very durable blade and handle. The scabbard fell apart years ago, but the sword is what really matters anyways. Considering my dad paid a much larger price than what it's currently being offered, I would DEFINITELY buy one. So worth it.

This sword is great, Full Tang. Isn't sharp but is very well made. Just needs to be professionaly sharpened(or not), for me its good the way it is. Oh BTW make your own back strap out of black nylon rope the old fashioned way its better and looks alot cooler, like a real foot soldier.
I also bought a -Cold Steel Katana Machete- and bought the seperate back sheath to go with it. Sheath is of great quality, fits me well and I'm 6'2" 230lbs.
Sword comes sharpened but had rough edge. I cleaned it up and hacked thru a 8in" diameter branch in seconds. The 'Full Tang Battle Ready Katana'might not be sharp but it's ready to go for your defense. It will hold up great.
I want to Thank you all at True Swords with the best customer service that I have ever encountered in the past 30 years of dealing with customer support. Their standard of customer satisfaction exceeds all others.
I will continue business and word of mouth support,
THANK YOU.

you should buy lots of these! the sheath is not quite like the picture.. the main difference is the straps at the bottom are not quite so high up the sheath but closer to the end. i removed mine and wrapped the wrapping around the sheath near the handle.

yes i wanted to type sheath once more. the blade is amazing. you should buy lots of these but they probably are not made so much for removing the handle like the http://www.trueswords.com/ichigo-sword-high-carbon-steel-anime-zangetsu-huge-52in-p-6102.html .

you should want atleast two for your self and two for your friends and loved ones ;)

the sword weighs just over 2 pounds and stays in the sheath well, but don't swing it like the sheath will stay on if someone's life depends on it.

First things first, Trueswords.com is like the Jimmy Johns of the internet. Received my order in 3 days and am very satisfied. This Katana has an excellent feel to it, my cross guard was just a tad loose but the blade was to my complete satisfaction, no bends chips or blemishes of the sort. Not as heavy as I thought it was going to be. Which brings me to the sheath, the blade gets stuck on the brass, it can however fit all the way in with little stress on the sheath. The wrap on it is sub-par and the back straps feel like I could snap them just putting them on and off and are much smaller than the picture lead me to believe. Came dull, but that is easily remedied Very satisfied with it for the price, I mean come on, you can't beat this sword for twenty dollars...

It could do without the Pakistan on the side of the blade, but it's not very noticeable, just a tad annoying.

Five star product here

Great Sword, I am a stronger guy who prefers heavy weapons mostly. and this sword delivers! Great weight, Great Durability. in fact i can cut through branches about as big as my forearm with no problem. of course i had to sharpen it for almost and hour to get the razor edge i wanted but other than that its a great buy i really suggest it

I bought this as an early Christmas present for my sister and she absolutely loves it. She told me that it was shorter than expected but still cool as hell. Also she needs to go out and buy a sharpening kit since it did not come as sharp as she wanted. Overall, a great product and looking forward to future purchases here at True Swords!!!

First, a correction for True Swords: the blade is not 21 inches - instead, it's roughly 27 1/2 inches.

A solid feel to this sword, despite its minor bend at the last few inches of the blade itself. Though few, there are still minor blemishes on the blade. Fun to play with, for sure.

I believe the steel to be along the lines of 420J2 - durable, inexpensive, and a low-end edge retention. The reason I believe this is mostly the bend I'm able to put on the sword.

As for the sheath - I'll keep the scabbard itself, so the sword has some "protection," but overall, the straps and carry rig are not at ALL up to par.

I give it a 5/5 simply for the satisfaction it gave me when I opened it up.

I suggest this as a starter to a collection. Worth the money, worth the time.

Well, True swords does not have 2 of the 3 swords I have purchased from them in stock anymore. So, I'll just generalize. Each sword has been nicer in person than picture has lead me to believe. They do not come very sharp but they feel as if they were produced in way that is absolutely worth the money they charge. The prices here are the best ever, and the shipping methods are amazing. My next sword is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and I just purchased it yesterday. I'm quite happy with the service and the products so far. I'm no sword smith, but I'm pretty sure that for less than $100.00 you will not get a better sword than Trueswords will sell you. This particular sword is really just a beat up sword. Its kind of like a big, ninja, kitchen knife. You can see the full tang. Its pretty heavy and doesn't feel too balanced. But, for 20$ it is definitely better than I expected. It's the kind of sword you buy to go outside and test in on tree branches and metal poles.

Great sword at a great price. It is extremely sturdy. It doesn't come very sharp but it took me all of 4 minutes to change that with a proper stone. My only complaint is the sheath. It's not of the same great quality the sword is. However, it does serve it's purpose.

On another note: True Swords is the most amazing company I have ever dealt with. Hands down the best customer service. It is really a treat to order from them.

I received this sword yesterday and i absolutely love it. the blade is actually a little flat but noting a little sharpening cant handle. the sword is very sturdy there is no rattling at all but the sheath that comes with it is pretty cheap but it works for what it was made for. overall i recommend this sword is worth every penny!

I love this sword. even though it came with no sharp edge (seriously, i can see flatness.) Not that im complaining. i prefer wielding with the blade out the bottom of my hand, and its a bit clunky, but the handle is good as an impromptu bashing tool. NO COMPLAINTS, ONLY LOVE!

I love this sword it just arived this morning and i have to say for my first buy from this site and i love it. I have only a couple problems but they arnt big, one of em is that the handle is thicker then what i thiught but i like it cause i have big hands but its a bit big but no problem, the sheathe isnt what i expected its held together by what seeks to be crappy glue and the leather comes right off the sheathe but hey its 20 bucks you get what u pay for. All in all i love this sword its the right size, light but nit to light and it arrived semi sharp ill have to sharpen yet all in all good buy ill totally buy more from this site

Very impressed with this 20$ sword, thick and sturdy. The cutting edge was crooked but after some hard work on the sharpening stone, it straighten right out. Overall a great purchase.

Where to start?

Needless to say you get what you pay for. I'll start with the bad and move onto the good.

I was a little skeptical when I saw the box it came in. It looked like one of those toys you grab at Walmart or Toys R Us. Still, I pressed on.

I reached into the package only to grab onto the blade itself. No worries, still got all my fingers intact since the blade was dull. At first, I actually had trouble telling the difference between the MUNE (Back) and the Blade itself.

The Handle looks better in the picture. Now I could have just gotten the shitty looking one but still, just looks bad. And the Sheath seems to be made of Plywood. Had trouble sliding the blade in because the entrance was warped (Tip, if your Sheath is made of wood, keep the blade in to prevent warping).

On the good side, it's $20. You can't beat that. Even after all of that it's still great for a Cosplay or just something to swing around for fun without the risk of cutting limbs (Unless you sharpen it which you most definitely can).

Not something I'd brag about to friends or collectors but not a bad buy if you just want a sword.

Good sword for the price, mine arrived structuraly sound, and after 2 hours on a belt sander with a 350 grit emery cloth it's sharp enough to effortlessly sail through soda bottles! Be warned that for the price, some may turn out to be dangerous deffects most likely the blade overheating in the machining process and cooling down too quickly and becoming brittle.but overall this one is a heavy duty Tank!

First of all I got my blade today but the metal going through the handle was RUSTED.Besides that the blade/sheath were amazing. It looked so cool i put it on and felt i could kill some zombies with the quickness. As for the rust it gives it age and a used look which is fine.THANK YOU TRUE SWORDS for another great piece.

If you want to cut with this sword, it's OK. Knot a shower. you do not have to watch out for the handle getting wet. For the price it's a good sword to use.

Great sword, good construction, proper balance for a sword its size, and all for a great price. The sheath on the other hand, is pathetic. Its good for display but if u take it out and put it back in the sheath more than 5-6 times, the sheath is nearly destroyed. Over all though a good buy. Thanks true swords!

Don't be fooled by the picture, the sword doesn't look much like it. My blade was not as straight as the picture shows, it's actually curved more like a Samurai's sword, however the curve is not THAT emphasized. Sheathe looks AWESOME but the quality of it is garbage, plain and simple. Sword is sturdy as I've managed to hack down some small trees with it and not damage the sword whatsoever. Blade is not very sharp but that can be easily fixed. The guard where the handle meets the blade is a little lopsided and wobbly, but it's nothing drastic, or really even noticeable. Overall good job Trueswords. I am pleased with my purchase.

Its a nice heavy blade very sturdy great for the price. The sheath is a joke and the straps broke with in five minutes so I'm getting a leather one

Not exactly a sharp blade, but a little sharpening works that kink out. The Blade Collar doesn't look exactly the same as the picture represents, but still works out. It's a good blade to start with, but if you're a true swordsmen, don't just stick to this one.

Not bad. Blade had slight imperfection and was not "battle ready" and scabbard was full of sawdust. Solid sword and well worth the price. An interesting addition to any collection.

The sword is a solid piece of metal, which I would trust to protect me, maybe even against a carbon steel blade. However, the description says the blade is razor sharp. It is razor sharp compared to a spoon maybe. The sheath also has a -ton- of sawdust inside. All and all a good sword.

My sword just arrived today, and after a thorough inspection I'm impressed. For just $20 it's tripegged, has a nice wide blade, feels pretty sturdy. The sheath is of poor quality and the straps will not last long.. I can guarantee that, but overall 4/5 A good practice sword that will please anyone who wants a decent blade at a bargin basement price.
Thanks again trueswords!

Excellent bargain for the $20.00 sale price! Take a third off the lenght of the grip for version 2.0, put a better edge on the blade & True Swords won't be able to keep this Full-Tanger in stock!
BTW: I intend to buy from you guys again! Thanks.

a little too short and pretty off balance. its also not a katana seeing as its missing the curve in the blade. i think its a ninjeto. its really sturdy though but its not the sword for me at all. im more the person for a 40 in katana or so.

the sword was of amazing and solid quality, although the SHEATH was absolutely horribly quality, the sword is flawless and appears solid as it is said to be, but the sheath fell apart immediately after i took it out of the box, the straps fell off and everything... thats the only reason this gets a 3 out of 5.

great sword, but the sheath seemed as if termites got to it.
alot of sawdust was inside so i took off the wrapping and noticed the wood between what seemed to be particle board was like swiss cheese.
but otherwise the sword is awsome.

Firstly, this IS a 20 dollar katana. It was very dull when it came, and the blade near the hand guard looked like it had been used on a metal pole or something; the blade was mashed down in that section. I'm going to have to get a sharpener and a strap to put a real edge on it. There doesnt seem to be any issue with the handle, it is just been put together like a full tang kitchen knife. Otherwise it seems to be a relatively sturdy blade. Not by any means the only one I plan to have in my doomsday kit, but it's a good start.

It's $20, so don't expect too much. the blade is really dull, I can run my fingers on it without cutting myself. the handle is not that strong, it makes you feel like the handle and the blade can fall apart anytime. Well, I paid $20, so I was expected too much. If you want a sword to practice, then this is the one you will want, you want a real one to do something else? Choose another one more expensive.

For $20 I got what is to be expected. The blade is not ground evenly on each side of the blade and looking down the spine I see the blade is "wavy" not straight. My biggest complaints are that the blade is not sharp and that there is a 6" piece of the blade just above the handle guard that is not ground at all. Be careful with this one, the "stainless steel" is very stiff and does not bend well, and when bent it does not return to its natural position. All that said, with shipping this only cost me $25 bucks so it makes me a good costume piece after I fixed the blade grinding.

I didnt hope to be to impressed with such a low price... and to be honest I wasnt. Its not that bad of a blade but not even kinda of sharp but it does seem to be well made maybe. The scabbard is awful and the straps bad too.

In my oppion spend the extra twenty dollars and get the low end musashi katanas recenty added to this site I just got one a week or so ago and for the price a great blade only twenty dollars more and much better quality. So many great blades on true swords for great prices spend a little more get something you well really like.
