This is my favorite cheap sword, GET IT ON SALE IF YOU CAN,, it's light weight but sturdy, like a Saber,,, solid full tang with great hard wood grips, a nice ling handle (11 inches). Ignore the measurements given in the ad,,, The 26 inch blade is a solid 1/8 inch thick, no fuller groove, and it comes with a good hard wood scabbard that one would normally find on a more expensive sword.... This sword it"self is actually 38 and 1/4 inches over all, and 40 and 1/2 in the scabbard. Well built with real brass rivets and a tight guard....all in all a good deal on a working sword you can have fun with. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SWORD...!

This would be an excellent deal on a stainless steel sword if the manufacturer wasn't so lazy,,,The edge is completely dull and prepped, I don't have a grinder like one would need to taper this blade for a sharp edge, so a couple of hours of file work is in order here,,,, then AccuSharp tool and lots of sanding block to make this sword have a respectable edge. If you buy this sword, know that it is far from "Battle Ready",, loads of work here to cure this blade......

For a good practice katana you cant beat this one for the price. Durable yet balanced almost perfectly. The longer handle is a little more than what I'm used to but provides nice leverage for that extra boost from the hips. It Seems the more I work with it the more I like it. and all for $40 & some change?... You just can't go wrong with this one. I'm gonna buy a couple more...Not to hard to polish a decent edge on one of these either... I recommend wrapping the handle with rubber insulating tape or a good electrical conduit shrink that will tightly wrap the handle(1½" should do it)....Polish up the edge and it becomes a workhorse for all your melon, straw & water jug & intruder needs....Hope no one gets in the way...Have fun.....I have.

This sword is very nice! Has a nice feel to it. Doesn't come very sharp but that's okay. Love the saya. This sword is worth way more than they charge. Got here super fast. Thanks TrueSwords!

This is my first sword (Though Factory produced) and is just perfect. When it came it had a couple marks on the blade that were removed after a good cleaning. The very tip of the blade was slightly bent, but not very noticeable unless you check. I'm not planning on going into battle any time soon but it is still fun practicing forms with it. Over all very good and totally worth it. Thank you Trueswords!

This one really surprised me. For the price I thought it wouldn't be as good as it was! It's truly a different feeling holding this in your hands, then any other in my collection.

Excellent sword. The balance lies just below the tsuba, where you would normally grip(which is technically off), but it's good for practice. It didn't come very sharp at all; however, if you want sharp weapons you should be able to sharpen them yourself. Looks amazing as well. Twas a gift, but I seriously considered keeping it. He has little katana experience, but he's not very liable to hurt himself badly. Looks great as a display too. And it's only $35, so you aren't out much if you hurt it.

All in all, this sword delivers on every level; very functional(really, I'd easily pay 80+ for it), very decorative, and very cheap.

I ordered this sword on Tues and received it on Thurs. That alone is commendable. Dispite the reviews stating that the sword is dull or flimsy, I was very satisfied considering the cost. The blade is sharp enough to cut and the blade is definitely not flimsey. Could the blade be sharper? Sure and you definitely have something to work with. Other swords come completely dull and take forever to work. My only complaint with this sword is that my hilt (handle) was slightly uneven. This may cause problems later on. But other than that the sword is great and feels nice and balanced. My next sword before going on into the expensive swords will be the 52" Bleach sword.

Everything said about Trueswords is correct. Fast shipping, good/safe packaging, and good customer interaction are all spot on.
Sword is a great value for a beater sword. It did not arrive sharp but is now. We'll see how the edge holds up as a beater.
5 out of 5

My second order from Trueswords.com and as with the first time quick shipping. I ordered on the 21st of dec and got it today on the 2nd of january so thats prett good consdiering I'm all way in washington and that was with most of the roads snowed in.

AS for the sword itself I'm very happy with it. it's my first Katana so I'm not an expert on them but I do own a few other swords sso i knwo a fair bit about swords in general.

It has a good weight and when I work wiht it it just seems to flow like an extention of my arms. The blade stayed secure even after an hour of exerciseing with it even though it isn't very sharp but thats fine because I wont be cutting anything with it at all.

The only dificutly is that the bottom section were the blade is secured is minorly dificult to put in the scabbard but I still give it five out of five stars. I'll be ordering from here agian I'm sure.

This was my first purchase from Trueswords, and I have to say that I'm very pleased with this katana, it is perfect for me. It is fairly sharp, very durable and sturdy, and I'd recommend this katana or any similar to this brand for anyone who wants an incredible sword.

The blade is full tang but the tsuba is rattly and the rivets aren't tight so the handle shakes. The brass accents are real brass, not the stuff they strip mine down in Texas. nice for a blade hammered out of a truck spring in Pakistan. overall good for the price

Just got my sword today its getting 4 out of five cuz my drop point is really low plus theres two bends in my blade where the forger pounded a little hard and the sheath is junk had to fit a cloth inside it so when i pull the blade out it cleans itself of the ply wood chippings and such, other than that great sword for its price very sturdy and good weight to it secure fittings also thxs again truesword

ok. got my sword bout 3 or 4 days ago. im going to give u the good news first and bad news second. but since i gave it 4 satrs theres more good news. --- this is my first sword. when it got here it wasnt very dirty unlike most people said. the minuite i got it i did a cuting test. what is good about it is that its strong so please dont worry bout it breaking your on your first hit. its very sturdy around the handle and does not wobble or shake. this sword is defenetly not used for deceration for all you sword crasies out there like me. there are minor bad things bout the sword that arent very bad. --- not very sharp so before you go using it in practice sharpen it. the blade is flexy and bendable but not breakable. trust me. DO not irepeat DO not. wipe oil or grease off blade with hand it getsa dirty fast and will rust if you do but what sword doesnt do that. overall besides minor details a great sword i recomend it for any begginer who likes to collect wepons and doesnt like to put them to bad use by hanging them up on racks BLAH. but overall great beginner sword. BUY IT

Want a sword? Buy This One! I've had this for a while now and have a few things to say about it.

First: NO, FOR THE LAST TIME, IT'S NOT SHARP! WHO CARES!?

Second: This thing is a little heavier than most swords I've held, which makes it a bit awkward to swing in my opinion.

Third: Though it came in average time, it also came beat up with dents and scratches. It really was the worst delivery I've experienced so far from Trueswords.

By now you're probably wondering why after all my complaints I would say "Buy This One!." It is because....

First: This thing is FREGGIN beautiful! I've never seen or even less held any sword that was this amazing looking. Parts on the sheath are starting to fade in color though.

Second: Incredibly well built. With a full tang and three peg construction, there is NO chance that this thing will fall apart very easily, even under heavy strain.

Third: It is inexpensive. You'll seriously be hard pressed to find another sword of this quality (for its price) even on this website, let alone anywhere else.

Regardless, I'm still giving this a 4 out of 5 for all the overall mess that the sword arrived in. Hope your's will be different.

Great blade for the buy! Everything is solidly put together along with a great blade of 440 stainless steel. The black wooden grip is also quality, and so is the scabboard. I just wish it could of came sharper, but that can be easily changed. If you want a quality sword for the price, invest in the Bushido Samurai Sword of War.

I must say, this is a beautiful sword (and to echo the others) for the price. A few imperfections, loose tsuba, sheath a little shoddy, handle a little scratch from the bottom. However, this is the 31st weapon in my collection and my 16th Japanese sword. And anyone who is a true collector knows that japanese blades are like diamonds, less imperfections...the more expensive. That being said, true swords, I couldn't be happier with my product...a perfect battle-ready practice piece. And if you are reading this wondering if you should...start your collection of right...buy the sword before they raise the price!

A good sword, a decent blade not very sharp... talk about factory dull, though that is easily fixed with a quality sharpening stone. ^^
I was a little disappointed that the tsuba is a little unstable and wobbles when the sword is swung, but I can live with that. Good quality saya for the price. Overall 4/5 but definitely worth it for the price. Thanks trueswords.

Good Price,,BUT,,first thing I notice is the wood handle is painted white pine, not real stained hard wood,,, then the blade is seriously DULL...!, and only 38 1/4 inches over all length, not 41 inches as advertised, and the blade is light duty at 1/8 inch thickness...Still a nice looking sword However, the Full Tang Battle Ready Katana for Only $19.99 is by far the best stainless steel battle sword value on this site,,, and the Tactical Wakizashi Honshu 1060 High Carbon Sword for $144.99 is the best value in a carbon steel blade here.....
