This basket hilt broadsword was the traditional weapon of the Scottish Highlanders and was rightfully feared by generations of Englishmen! This superb reproduction measures 37 3/4" overall and features a hand forged, double edged 31 1/2" blade constructed from 1055 carbon steel. The blade is beautifully polished and sports triple fullers along its length. The strong basket hilt is made from blued steel with a wood grip covered in ray skin and wrapped in wire for a sturdy grip. This item includes a wood and leather scabbard.
