Shinwa Black Knight Samurai Sword Damascus Steel

its a very good sword for the price, but my only complaint is that the Damascus in orange and not the crimson red that I was expecting. gotta love the double blood grove on BOTH sides! best use of my money on a weapon yet! this was my first purchase from Trueswords and the shipping was great, it got here in 3 days and no damage to the sword whatsoever

This is my first sword I have purchased from Trueswords. The sword arrived within a week of order, which is unusual since I live in a remote town in SE NM. I am extremely satisfied with the workmanship and quality of the blade. The box it came in is also very nice, I was not expecting such quality. The blade arrived extremely sharp, as sharp as my professional cutlery I use to cook with (I am an amature chef). I imagine I could cut paper thin slices of tomatoes with it if I so desired. This is a quality sword and I would recommend it to anyone interested.

Sick sword. I love it. The only thing I am not to fond of I chopped some shrubs and some of the brown finish came off the blade, I thought it was through the metal but it seams the finish isnt took deep on the blade part, but you know what its a sick sword.

I ordered Shinwa Katana as a gift for a friend. This is one of the best swords for the money that i have seen. Although it's not a katana in my opinion (straight blade), it is a very nice sword. There are two negative things I can note: 1)the display box it come in isn't of the best quality. 2) It would have been better package the sword separate from the sheath so that the protective coating didn't transfer to the inside of the saya (that's what the white flaky stuff is that everyone wrote about). Other than these to very minor details I was greatly impressed with it's quality. This sword did not come razor sharp, but with about 20 minutes of work I am now able to shave with it, literally.

All I can say is wow! This thing is ridiculous!! I got it on sale for Cyber Monday and got it for 70 rather than the regular sale price and it is totally worth every penny! It feels so nice in my hands. My brother got one a while back also. What convinced me to get my own is when after we went deer hunting and my brother got a deer. After we cleaned it and got all the meat off he cut it in half from the right flank all the way to the left shoulder with one swipe! I was like, "Holy Crap!!" Get it......enough said.

Excellent quality! Beautiful piece of art. Best Katana in my collection. Very sharp and extraordinary blade. Fantastic scabbard and very tight construction. Very solid and ornate box as well as traditional sword bag to store the sword in. Overall, everything I expected and more!

This sword is everything you could imagine a samurai/ninja to have... but do not get this as you're first and only sword. Yes it is beautiful, but its not the same as they show in the picture above, its a bit darker and the red in the blade does not show that well, the blade is well balanced but the stuka (hilt) will loosen you're blade will rattle, I have no problem with it being darker but it is not as the advertise in the picture. I have abused this bade in every way I possibly could and sharpen it almost weekly even if I hadn't used it, I am proud to own this fine piece of art but once gain do not make this you're end all be all of swords. The wrapping also came off of the stuka and I had to re wrap it but the blade is strong and well made just could use a better stuka.

This was my first sword. It was very sharp, good quality. I was impressed by how fast the sword was delivered. I think it was a good deal but the blade was kinda dirty when it came.

Seems like the inside of the shield wasn't finished because whenever I sheath the sword it seems to come out with white wood spots all over it, and I'm concerned its going to wear and tear the actual blade edge and discolor it from the magnificent black and red coloring.

Not a bad sword. This is my second sword that I have bought from trueswords. I have to say I was extremely excited to get my sword but when I opened the box I was a little disappointed. I don't believe it was balanced well and it looks like the hamon was painted on. Also mine does not fit well in the scabbard. Otherwise not a bad display sword. I do like that it is different and unique.

When I got this sword for $69 last year I thought GREAT, it was beautiful had some weight to it and was very sharp. However when doing some small tests the tip of the sword bent at a 45 degree angle for about a cm. This was a bad jagged bend also. So just keep it for display.

I have had this sword for just over a month now. I have studied it, used it, admired it, cleaned it etc. The first time I unsheathed it I was dazzled. The second time I notice imperfections. The blade not that sharp. Sliced only half way into the pumpkin. The cord wrap comes loose very quickly. Sword is very heavy, and awkward to wield. The sheath sticks just a bit too much. My particular sword had a very small chip at the top of the tip when it arrived. Its good for the price your going to pay, but please examine it very well before accepting it. I was much happier with my United Master Class Katana . Shinwa needs to really focus on its quality instead of pumping out all different colors of katana.

This sword looked really cool online then when I purchased it and opened it right away the sword was rattling in the sheath which was a buzz kill, then when I un seethed it, it was dull, and I think it is heavier than it should be. This is my second sword that I have purchased from Trueswords and I was not impressed the first one I am still satisfied with. I bought this a while ago but never but a review for it
