I choose the normal shipping option and it arrived way quicker than I thought. This sword is amazing! If you are looking for just a show sword this will fit the bill, but this weapon ready for more than just show. The price is deceiving, I would definitely call this battle ready. It is safe to swing around and chop stuff, as far as durability goes, besides that, it is of course very dangerous to swing around so take it outside. As far as I can tell it is full tang. The blade is very flexible, surprisingly flexible. The description says 35” Damascus 1045 and 1060 folded carbon steel blade. This led me to believe it had core of one metal and the other metal was forged around it. Not sure about this though because of how flexible the blade is, but I would like to learn more about how this blade was made. I gave 4 stars because it came with a scrape which causes a little glimmer to come through the black blade, it is really hard not to notice, buy perfect besides that.

I have decided to name Odachi Scratch, because I received it with scratches on the blade. your eyes are drawn right to them. Shinwa should take better care when handling their product. Sharpness is excellent though

good sword

Although i got this sword in a mystery package, it is beautiful to look at and is also very comfortable to wield, the only bad part of it is that since the blade is so long, it will bend if overused, but nothing that you can't fix. I do highly recommend this sword to anyone.
