My son really likes his sword. He was thrilled to receive it and was well worth the price.

The blade is very loose and wobbly. The glue holding the decorative pieces on the scanard are plastic and is very cheap and will cause the decorative bits to fall and leave ugly flue stains on the black part. While a cool looking display piece, it is undoubtedly that: a display piece. I'd recommend the United Cutlery or Cold Steel gladius' on this site for something you can actually play around with. All in all, it would look good on a wall or in a case but if you want to swing it around ve careful as the blade looks like it might fly out.

roman sword

I like the sword but was very disappointed that this premium model did not include a chain hanger which I believe it should have to make it complete.

Wonderful details

I just bought the sword for a Halloween party but I had no idea that is was this good. I thought my order got mixed up with a high cost sword but it was correct. Solid and with great details on the sword and scabbard this is something you much pick up. Make sure to get a chain to use the eye holes on the side. Wonderful sword and for such a great price. It's a buy!

Absolutely Amazing!

I was absolutely amazed with the Roman Sword of Tiberius! Every detail is beautifully crafted, the blade is heavy and without flaws, the handle equally heavy for this war sword. I could not believe this beautiful sword was so low in price and so high in quality. If you have any doubts about buying this beauty, put them aside and get one and you too will be crowing with delight.

Great Gladius!

Great Gladius! This is a realistic Mainz-Pattern Roman Officers sword. It is great for display or role play. Very high quality for this price. Julius Caesar used to award honor swords like this to his soldiers for valor in battle. I have five gladius swords and this one is the best looking. The metal hilt gives it great balance.

It turned out to be "ok". I have 2 problems with it upon arrival though. Firstly where the blade meets the handle it looks super glued and isn't on straight at all, kinda diagonally which is kinda irritating. 2ndly and most importantly is the scabbard, it's an nice one but I almost couldn't pull out the sword at all using all my strength and when I finally did I looked inside it and on the hardwood part there is some type of corrosion I can't get rid of, so trying to put it back in makes it feel like it's going to break, so the scabbard is rendered useless pretty much. Overall it's alright, just wish I got an better condition one for the price.

The sword is a very nice buy indeed. The details are all there, and its all made of metal, which makes it seem more expensive than it is. The only bad thing I could find were the words "Handcrafted in China" near the hilt, but that seems to be a common thing among cheaper swords. If you're in need of a Gladius, than this is the one.
