I love all of schrade knives. I’ve gotten 3 different models and they all work great. I always carry one at home, work and every where else. All 3 models are different but can still be used one handed if you practice. Hoping to get all of them.

Not worth it !

Purchased the viper otf. Expected a knife of a higher quality, it is built quite nice , looks awesome. The spring is not strong enough to push the blade through paper, and the bladelock will not hold under any forward pressure.

Amazing knife

I love this blade. It is kinda heavy and the metal feels great as a handle and the spike at the bottom is really neat. The blade itself came razor sharp on both sides and i have no problem with it triggering in my pocket. All in all a great tool or wepon it can be very dangerous i forgot it was double edged and knicked my finger while i was at work and didnt even notice till someone else pointed out i was bleeding, crazy lol but def 5 star knife imo. Good for the price

Safety is almost useless on this product as it's harder to turn it back to the off position than it is to turn it on. Literallly. If anything so much as rubs it the right direction, boom! Safety off. Not to mention there isn't a secondary lock to keep the blade from sliding back once it's extended, it relies on a spring that is too weak to actually utilize the spear head without retracting back.

Great knife and love how it feels, I live in colorado, so going to the mountains fishing and gutting fish will be fun, it will be nice to see how it cuts. Thanks BudK for the awesome knife.

Great Knife. Great quality. Razor sharp out of the box. Love the double serrated edge. Makes cutting anything a breeze... Already cut myself once.. totally worth every penny. The safety on mine slides loosely, but it seems safe enough. It takes some pressure to release the knife. And the thumb retracter stays out the whole time so you can guide it up and down If nessesary.... definitely some pros and cons there, but I have no regrets about this buy.

Good knife

I have the older version of this knife which I really like, but the controls were a bit awkward to manipulate. When I saw the newer version had the controls in a more suitable location I thought I'd give it a try. It is just as well made as my other knife, and the controls are in a more ergonomic position. The blade was very sharp right out of the box, and the blade snaps securely into place when activated. The handle is a bit wider than the older version, but not by much. It seems sturdy and well made, and I think it can stand up to being carried and used every day. The best part is that this knife did not cost $400 or more like some of the other OTF knives on the market (don't kid yourself, this is not a $400 plus knife) but it is equally as useful. And if it happens to get confiscated **wink** you're only out $40 instead of $400. Over all it is a very good knife, well made, sharp, not expensive, and will do the job. I may just buy a few more. The last one I purchased has been used daily for about 3 years now, and still like new. This newer version seems to be equally as well made.
