From Ancient Japan to the Anime and video games of the present, Kunai knives have remained a trusted weapon choice for for ninjas.

History of the Kunai knife:

A kunai is an ancient kind of trowel, originated during the Tensho Era in Japan. The kunai was normally wrought of iron, not steel, cheaply forged and unpolished. The size of most kunai ranged from 20 cm to 60 cm, with the average at 40 cm. The kunai was used by common folk as multi-purpose gardening tools and by workers of stone and masonry. The kunai is not a knife, but something more akin to a wrecking bar. The blade was soft iron and unsharpened because the edges were used to smash plaster and wood, to dig holes and to pry. Normally only the tip would have been sharpened. The uses to which a kunai was put would have destroyed any heat-treated and sharpened tool like a knife.

Kunai normally had a leaf-shaped blade and a handle with a ring on the pommel for attaching a rope. This would allow the kunai's handle to be wrapped to act as a grip, or when used as a weapon; to be strapped to a stick as an expedient spear, to be tied to the body for concealment, or to use as an anchor or piton.

Very balanced

This is a well balanced knife! It came about three days after i ordered it. The metal might be stainless steel but it still throws nicely. the cord rapping came loos after 10 throws but that i fixed with a candle by melting the ends and now it is fine. I would buy another if i wanted.

Needle Point

For the price paid I have no complaints about this Kunai. The tip is very sharp, it feels very good in the hand, and it throws well too. The cord wrap will fall off eventually, but a little electrical tape over the cord will make it last a lot longer. The sheath isn't that bad either. If you're looking for an affordable full sized Kunai, you found it.

I bought this for the look as well as for its thin design. It feels sturdy, I'm not planning on crushing skulls or splitting wood with this blade, it is intended to be concealed by my belt while I am at work for that rare occasion when an unruly customer doesn't want to do as they're told.
This knife is perfect for my desired use and it looks really good too.

Very nice looking, probably good for hand to hand combat, but I don't think I want to try throwing it against a wooden board, but I like the knife.
