Great knife. The blade comes out fast. Razor sharp awesome blade. Slices a sheet of paper like butter. Takes about the same amount of time to open as flip open thumb assistance because of safety but it sounds really cool. The trick is to take the safety off as you're pulling it out of your pocket and then Flick it's open. The last review: he broke the tip of that's because it's a very fine razor sharp point don't use it as a screwdriver. The only out the front I've seen better is the bench made but for the price I could buy 10 of these for one of those and its almostnot as good
Within 1 week, the brittle tip snapped off and a screw went missing. I can't even use it anymore without the screw. I thought it fired very well, but was somewhat difficult to slide back. The safety device you have to push down to get the blade to slide down gets stuck 9 out of 10 times. Cool novelty, but you don't want to rely on this for everyday use.
ok, so the first thing that surprised me was how sharp this thing came. this thing almost cut me right out of the box. the sturdiness of the blade was the second thing. it has the feel of a fixed blade, but the compact ability of a folder. the handle is the perfect weight for me. not a whole bunch of extra, useless metal plates you see on some of the folders you get, but still heavy enough for you to notice if it fell out of your jacket pocket or something. with i highly dought it will, since the clip is super tight with the frame. on to the opening process. the blade opens about 3/4 of an inch before the springs take over, i guess thats a safety feature. after that, the blade rockets out of there! the only thing i would change is the secondary locking mechanism. if the blade does shoot out at full speed, or for some reason you decide to push it out manually, or change your mind half way to closing it, it wont lock. you need to close it all the way, then shoot it out again. shipping took about a week, but it was well worth the wait. thank you trueswords, this is by far my favorite knife!
Excellent Knife, Stylish and Sturdy.... Definitely a Head-Turner when this Fast Action, Razor Sharp Blade shoots out the Front and Locks into Place! I'd agree with Greg, the blade can stop short and not lock over time... but all you have to do is clean the inside of the shaft with a Q-tip and it works good as new. This is Most Certainly My New Favorite Knife!! Worth Every Penny!
I've been collecting knives for a while, and I have to say, this knife is one of my favorites. It's great, both as far as style, and usefulness. Definitely go for the extra $2.00 to get the serrated edge. The only complaint I have is that occasionally when it opens, the lock fails to engage. Other than that, this thing rocks.
