How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Automatic Switchblade Knife?

Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

Great product! It's much larger than it looks in the picture, when you get it you might want to tighten the screw on the sides to make the blades less wobbly. Comes very sharp, looks quite menacing, overall a great knife!

Very cool knife. The spring action works smoothly, and it feels great in the hand. It's a little bulky folded up but it fits just fine in the pocket. Definitely a steal for the price.

This knife is awesome the karambit style is cool I've used karambits before and there's a figure 8 style movement that you use with a normal karambit to me it feels weird with a normal one using the figure 8 but it feels perfectly fine 4 stars because the non serated blade when I flick it out becomes loose kinda wiggly so I had to buy a star screwdriver and it fixed it right away but I found the more I flick it the more it comes loose but it becomes tight if you tighten it once in a while

Amazing knife. No, amazing is not a strong enough word to describe the awesomeness of this knife. Came sharp and is battle ready. I plan on buying the ¨snow¨ version so I could have one in each hand.

Awesome knife. Alot bigger then i thought it was. A little bulkier then i thought as well.
lighter then it looks though.
Both blades are very strong and very sharp.

This knife is freaking awesome! It fits well in my hand and I know for a fact that this knife could seriously injure somebody if not used with caution. I cut a pretty deep gash into my finger the day I got it. So yeah its pretty damn sharp when you get it. Thanks a bunch True Swords!

Pretty mean knife. It fits comfortably in the hand when both blades are open. It is possible (with some innovation) to open both blades simultaneously with one hand. It is slightly awkward to carry due to its size. 3 stars because of the awkwardness and one of the red rings fell off minutes after unwrapping and will need superglued.

This knife is awsome. The look and feel of it is out of this world. It's much lighter than one would think. It's not very sharp, but I can easily sharpen it. This is a must have if you're in to these kinds of knives.

Well, upon seeing this knife i thought to myself "Why doesn't every spring assist knife have two blades?" Needless to say I ordered it, and it arrived within 5 days. The grip perfectly fits my hand for punching motions, I can use just one blade if i so choose, and the spring assist works flawlessly, with the edge where you press to open the blades not protruding too far to risk accidental opening. The points of the blade and the points on the serrated blade are razor sharp, however the edge could stand to be a little bit sharper, but nothing a sharpener can't fix in seconds (Obviously). Absolutely thrilled with this purchase, it looks bad ass and is extremely practical. If you can honestly look at this thing and not want to buy it immediately you need to rethink the definition of bad ass.
