Just got the sword today, Very Sturdy, full tang, dual bamboo pegs, light, only issue is that the hand guard (tsuba) rattled a lot. I adjusted it and it seems to be okay for now but that still put a damper on the whole exciting initial unboxing reaction. Got it engraved too. Very nice job. 4 / 5 stars because of the loose hand guard

For Forty Bucks??

What else could you expect? You can hardly buy a copper tsuba for the price. Slightly dull, but that's easily rectified. Differing from my other Mushas (great backyard cutters ... if you damage them, no big loss) it has a fake hamon. Trust me, having several clay tempered swords ... this stands out as the only cheap and cheesey thing about this item.

you get what you pay for

my first katana, my fault I should have cleared the area better sliced the bottle clean but the follow through hit the leg of a plastic table so now I have a dented blade would have thought the edge would hold up better.

you get what you pay for

Great badass Katana, razor sharp to cut through the forest, perfect weight. I personally love all Musha Swords, love all 3 swords i've bought from them, about to buy another one. This one is all in all a perfect Katana for a first Katana purchaser, awesome price. Still my favorite out of my sword collection =) One thing that is meh about this sword is the Katana slips out of its sheath a little too easy, although kinda like that sometimes, but could be a little snugger.

The quality of this katana is good, but sadly at this price I can find a better quality katana, my complain is that balance of the blade feels wierd

Well after about three days the sword just got here, and right off the bat it is a great sword for the price. Its sturdy and beautiful with a good weight to it, the tsuba is as detailed and good looking as in the picture while keeping a nice size, the handle has a good feel and is well wrapped, so for the price and quality you cant go wrong with buying this sword.

After a full week of great anticipation, i have finally recieved my Katana.
It was great out of the box, sharp, sturdy, deadly, easy on the eyes. But despite that, it has its flaws.
First of all the Tsuba was poorly painted, and the handle wrap wasn't tight enough to support my swings without getting fangled. Also, the blade nicked after hitting a small peice of PVC pipe with it, i thought that was a tad dissapointing. Oh well its good for what i need it for, which isnt alot. If all goes south the Bushido Mushashi brand is well priced enough for me to get another one.
All and all id give it a 4/5

Looks good and all that, the thing come sharp and such... But, this thing is not for real hard use, I pretty much destroyed it in about 3 cut of real tree, 1 inch, the blade bent considerably (I did bend it back, but....) and there are some real fold over sections of the edge (I tapped them back with a hammer). Granted, I cleanly made some cuts through some 1" live tree... and I am not a practiced swordsman, just a bloke who likes to use Samurai Swords to trim the trees in his yard...
I bought this because I had reached to limit of tree trimming with my crappy short sword, seems I have reached the limit of sword tree trimming all together....
Now for things less stout than 1" live tree, like shrub and bush... lot's of fun...
All fair enough considering the actual selling price.

This blade is a great blade for practice and light cutting. I had it for a week and it sheared through cardboard boxxes and easily slight through paper with little resistance. However, when used to cut through practice bamboo commonly used to practice cutting techniques it bent with one swing into a 130 degree angle and the edge became bent as well. Overall i was happy with the blade and it was easy to straighten back out, though not so much for the edge. It is an excellent display piece and is great for light cutting. It rusts very easily so keep it oiled.

Received my Bushido Musashi Samurai Sword today. It is very sharp and I am well pleased with the sword. Well worth the cost.

First Sword!
Not as sharped as I hoped it to be. The gold paint on the tsuba is rushed so they did a poor job. The blade was oiled but dirty. Bits of crap on it. Hard to pull out of saya.
But
Its a really nice looking sword! I love the little details at the end of the handle and the ornament inside the wrappings of the handle. You notice the artistic quality on this sword at every little details. Its just the painting was done poorly but everything else looks nice! It can't cut paper as smoothly with ease but maybe it's because I did it wrong. Overall, I LIKE IT!!!
took 5 days for it to come to california.

ok ..careful with the sheath the paint chips easily another thing ..DONT USE WHEN ITS COLD OUTSIDE! it bends very easily and youll have to make it straight with a hammer and the handle wrap stays still but looks all smashed after a few months of use and the blade is easily scratches and rusts so KEEP IT OILED!! and the gold work on the tsuba was badly don and scratches off easily thats all i have to say idk maybe mine came from another forge ..which musashi often does
