The Japanese samurai was a warrior who lived and fought by a rigid and uncompromising code of honor. Such a devout warrior would only accept a sword of the finest quality and appearance, and that weapon was the katana. Each of these superior swords offers a carbon steel blade, wooden sheath, and matching traditional cord wrapped handle. Tomahawk, XL1050.

Not a bad sword for thirty bucks. Shipping is great as usual, though it had better be for 10 bucks more. Just got it and I am satisfied; pretty greasy but I expected that. One thing I am disappointed in is the paint. There were already chips on the scabbard revealing the white underneath. The scabbard also is a bit cheap, but that is to be expected; I don't have a problem sheathing the sword and taking it out like a lot of people are saying. Also the guard on the katana, as well as the blade really, is pretty scratched up. Speaking of the guard, the freaking made in china label is facing up!!! Would it be so freaking difficult to place it on the other side so no one would see it?

Personally I would try to put in a bt more money for a better sword but this is a really great starter sword or a sword for display. Very sleek look and good feel to it. I'm glad I bought it!

I got this sword a while ago. The butt of the handle is secured on and you shouldn't have to worry about it falling off, but if you tug on it enough it could fall off. The wrapping around the handle is superb for a sword this priced. The wrapping hasn't even moved since i first got it. It stayed nice and neat. The tsuba is very strong and hasn't wobbled and i don't see that it ever will. The blade is very strong and has a nice look to it. The blade is so strong in fact that i threw it down onto a cement walk-way and the blade was undamaged besides some of the lacquer on the blade scraped off. The blade is a little fidgety when sliding into the scabbard. The blade can go into the scabbard either way but it is only supposed to go in one way. If you put it in the wrong way then you can scrape the lacquer off the blade. The scabbard is made of metal and suits the blade nicely. Overall the blade is extremely sturdy and tough and looks great, but when sliding into the scabbard can scrape the blade.

    It's a good, weighted sword.
for people who wants to buy it : MUST READ Cons
    1. as the description, current stock of the sword does not have the golden engraves on the blade.
    2. Imitation ray skin on handle : it really looks fake-ish when u really look into it.
    3. YOU CAN SEE the SUPER GULE on connected part(blade and handle), which means it has a possibility to shoot the blade out while swinging it(not even cutting). MIGHT GET HURT
    4. It is not sharpened, even the edge. (this does not mean you can buy it to a 8 yrs old child, still can stab into something even its not pointy.)
    5. It is a Straight sword with Double Edge sheath, you can't tell the direction of the sword when you Draw it, Main reason I don't recommand you to SHARPEN this blade because you can't tell which side is blade when its in the sheath.
    6. There is a CHINA mark which represent it is made in china on blade side of Tsuba(hand guard). Little bit annoying.
    7. It is not a Bent Sword. which means weight balance isn't very good for slashing motion, Thus slashing power decreases and uncomfortable.

That's Probably all Cons for this sword.

the blade itself i found very nicely made, the only real fault i could find was that the Tsuba was very loose i mean so loose it made me sad but other than that it was fine I'd still recommend this sword for anyone new to sword collecting use or display!

Great sword first off! good weight and feel too. The only problem was that the inscription was none existent IDK if it cleaned off by the grease or what but that wasnt there. besides that awesome. I purchase all my weapons of true swords!

Very well made sword. i like that the sheath is made of metal and the blade is very sturdy. only complaint is sometimes i have to struggle to get the sword in the sheath and the blade came dull.

It is a very nice looking sword, the black on black makes it intimidating! Though it looks great, the blade did not come sharp, besides that one flaw, this blade is a must buy for begineer collectors!!=)

Its a great sword, it really is. Its built surprisingly sturdy and is very comfortable to hold. The blade finish scratches pretty easy, but I don't care because I actually use the thing. The blade is nice and thick, though dull as a doorknob when it arrives. I sharpened mine up in a few hours and now it can slice through 3 milk jugs lined up. it is shorter than my other swords, which is great for me because I'm very short. The hand guard is very very thick and strong, it took a blow from a buddies sword and it barely got scratched but chipped up my buddies high end musashi. The sheath is thin and the blade rattles slightly in it, but it is very very sturdy as well. I love this sword and it has become my main fighting blade because of it.

(I am a trained professional and I do not condone the use of real swords in a fight under any circumstances)

Nice solid sword, doesn't rattle at all even in the sheath. Only problem I see with it is that it is hard to put back into the sheath, as sometimes it gets caught on something inside.

the one in the picture looks shinier or maybe i have to clean it up a little. expected a little more and its smaller than a samurai in every way. but its still cool.

I loved the sword. It had a nice color. A High glossy shine. It was definetly worth the wait.Only complaints is that it takes quite some force to get it out the scarab, and also it isn't that sharp. But i had a sharpner so in a few minutes it was razor sharp. Thanks true swords.

I am happy with it, just some minor things. The blade seems kind of thin. It seems medium size. The color is awesome, and it's real sturdy. Nice handle and detail overall. I am happy with it.

It must be good, because as I came out of the house to receive it, the carrier dropped it as he got out of the truck! I hurried to open it and it was just fine. Definitely more of a show piece.
