Versatile, potent and ready to conquer any challenge, the USMC Scorching Sands Dagger easily earns its "USMC" moniker. Like a United States Marine, this fierce, officially licensed fixed blade is always primed and ready for action, no matter how harsh the conditions or unfamiliar the territory. It boasts a 5" double edged spear point blade - forged from tough stainless steel enhanced with a rugged stonewashed finish. Each edge is carefully honed to razor sharp, while the stinging dagger point penetrates thick cowhide and even wood without bending or breaking. Fittingly, "USMC" is delicately etched at the blade base. Ergonomically contoured and finely textured, the desert sand tan G10 handle always affords a sure grip, even in swampy, humid locales. At 9 1/2" long overall, the Scorching Sands Dagger is amply sized for day to day cutting jobs, field tasks and more, yet is comfortable and easy to transport, thanks to the included black belt sheath and integrated lanyard hole. Made of resilient, water resistant nylon, the heavy duty sheath won't tear or fray in thorns, briers or other back country hazards. Tastefully offsetting the black nylon, "USMC" is emblazoned across the sheath in white embroidery. Use the officially licensed USMC Scorching Sands Dagger once, and you'll fall in love! Its impressive performance is surpassed only by its incredible price. You won't find a more affordable dagger of this first-rate caliber anywhere else, so look no further and order today!

I love that this knife turned out to be about 25% larger than expected. This thing is basically a Schrade SCHF20 at 1/3 the price. Thick blade + minimalist grips + great price = excellent deal and a lot of possibilities.
Totally Full Tang. Actually a slab of 4 mm thick metal ( About 5/32, which is not quite 3/16 inch) with two blade edges and 3 holes drilled for the grips. Awesomely sturdy. Blade is 1 1/2 wide. Not an elegant foo-foo dagger, a tough rugged tool. As others have stated "It's heavy". Yes it is, even with the screws and grips removed. Hunk of steel. Described as "Stainless Steel". I'm guessing, totally guessing 3Cr13 which is totally adequate for a dagger. Sharpens well, takes an edge easily, but not as brittle as everything harder. It is one of the softer stainless steels. Think Carbon steel that won't rust as readily and is more salt water resistant than carbon steel. Which is why it's used in diving knives. But since it's a dagger, you most likely won't be sharpening it often anyway.
So I have several daggers and throwing knives. All of those are semi-sharp or dull. This one is the exception to the rule. Not only is it actually sharp, but it's also thick and heavy. This is my new favorite knife. Thanks BudK!
NICE KNIFE no real complaints kinda heav3y but in a good way so to give it a good sturdy feel razor edge almost, out da box I honed it on a leather strap and you could shave with it now all in all Great buy I think it is worthy to have USMC ON IT and perfect gift for a marine or like me pay homage and respect too them by wearing and using this knife
