Features include an extra aggressive curved blade with tanto point, a partially serrated cutting edge, and ultra-fast spring assisted blade deployment.
Forged using 7CR13 stainless steel blade, this blade highly sharpened and ready for action. The Tailwind assisted-open mechanism is activated by pressing the blade spur on the back of the blade. The injection-molded nylon handle absorbs shock. 2 1/2 in. blade, 6 in. overall.
How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Switchblade Knife?
Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.
Can't go wrong with these. Came sharp n worked well. For the price you can't beat it!!!!!
This is a great $10 knife. So it didn't come super sharp. Big deal. $10 people.... For an everyday carry it is perfect. Light weight, the blade is solid with very minimal wiggle at the pivot, serrations are aggressive and it was only $10. Remove the comfy Nylon type handles and Hydrodip them with your left over material to give it a tactical look. Get a couple of them and throw one in your E.D.C. bag, your glove box in the truck, your hunting/scouting pack or in your pocket. Really this is a great knife and you didn't go out and buy a $100 SUPER NAME BRAND that will do exactly what this knife will do. Besides, with the other $90 you can buy your lady a nice dinner or some flowers and really score big.
I REALLY LIKE THIS KNIFE, IT LOOKED GREAT ON THE WEBSITE, BUT AFTER RECEIVING THIS KNIFE I HATE TO SAY THAT IT IS PROBEBLY ONE OF THE DULLEST KNIVES I HAVE EVER OWNED. THAT IS SAD BECAUSE THE OTHER REVEIWS SAY IT IS REALLY SHARP. IT IS NOT A PROBLEM TO SHARPEN IT BUT I WOULD HOPE THAT WHEN PURCHASING A KNIFE IT WOULD BE SHARP OUT OF THE BOX. BUT I GUESSE YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I STILL LIKE THE OVERALL LOOK AND FEEL OF THE KNIFE ALSO IT IS REALLY FAST, BUT JUST WISH IT WAS SHARPER.
I received this for my birthday and was very impressed with its design & assisted opening system. Definitely a great buy, although the pocket clip might come loose after a while. It is my favorite pocket knife out of my entire collection.
This knife is lightning fast!..light and very sturdy...I will be ordering it's brother the M48 soon...BTW I ordered mine with a serrated edge.
Simply awesome! When I first ordered this knife I was expecting a tiny little tailwind, however I was surprised at how big it was. The ad said the blade was 2 and a half inches long, wrong again! Who measures these knives? Well to my delight it was just over three inches long, the width was nice too. The tailwind assist is perfect, works beautifully, snaps open ever so quick. The blade serration was not only mean looking but sharp enough to cut through a two by four(if you really wanted to and had the time)The straight part of the blade had a very nice edge on it, but a couple of passes on my steel and now its like a razor! Perfectly designed handle as well, feels great in the hand.
One of my favorite knives. Strong, efficient knife. Quick release. Great price!
