Talon curved AUS-6 stainless steel bladeNon-reflective anodized black coatingAssisted-open mechanismBlade spur & thumb holeImpact-resistant ABS handleStainless pocket clipMeasures: 2 1/2" blade; 6 5/8" overall
This assisted-open karambit is equipped with a black-coated, talon-curved AUS-6 stainless steel blade that is rapidly deployed with the help of a blade spur and thumb hole. The discreet and durable handle is constructed of ABS and features a stainless steel pocket clip. 6 5/8 in. overall, 2 1/2 in. blade. How are Spring Assist different from a Gravity Knife or Automatic Switchblade Knife?Gravity or Switch Blade knives feature a button, level, or other type of switch that releases a spring pressure to automatically open the blade. On a Spring Assist knife, there is no separate button or switch. Instead, you apply pressure to part of the blade to begin the opening process. This is usually a small bump of metal which sticks out under the knife, making it fast and comfortable to use. Once you press on that part of the blade, it automatically opens and locks into place. Since the action of opening the knife is started by pressing the blade metal, instead of a button or switch, it is considered to bypass the laws which ban Switch Blade knives.

It had a very dull point aside from that good knife for the price and I use it on a daily basis.
Awesome blade this is now my standard pocket knife I don't have a single complaint with this one, it came sharp, no wobble, and it's lightweight it's amazing, but it might require a certain taste a few of my friends don't seem to like it.
Emerson wave on the blade is pointless pocketclip is poorly placed, and immoveable
Cuts great. No complaints
WELL MADE, QUICK OPENING, FOR THE PRICE A VERY GOOD KNIFE.
While this does seem to be a nice knife (for the price) I wish BUDK would list the size of the finger hole. It's important that your finger fits all the way through the hole. Mine doesn't and therefore I can not use it correctly as a Karambit.
the spring broke during the first week I got it
VERY poor design for a knife. I took it out of the box and right away it would not spring open like it should, it would not lock into place either. I tried to open it with a little more force to get it to lock and that did not work either. I then tried to be a little more precise on hitting the assist tab and the milled section on the back side of the handle cut my finger open. Very poorly designed and did not work.
I love this knife. Scared me when I first took it out of the box as it wouldn't open cleanly; just played with it for about five minutes and it smoothed up now it locks open every time. The size is perfect for and EDC kerambit! It is smaller than my Smith and Wesson kerambits by quite a bit. Unlike the S&W models, I use the finger hole and feels great in my hand. If I expect to use a knife I will bring a bigger one, but for a just in case knife this is the one you will find in my pocket.
I've gotten quite a few knives, mostly show...but this karambit is an everyday knife, lightweight, quick assit and sharp out of the box. I never leave home without it....highly recommend this for everyday use or whatever might come up. You should have on right now!!
